Do you wash your car or put it through the car-wash??

I am not very good at keeping my car clean and it very rarely goes through the car-wash. I really can't be bothered at all in the winter months with all the muck on the roads, so it only ever gets a clean during the summer!

I like to wash my car myself because I feel it only gets really clean if I do it myself. The problem is that we were in a drought all last summer so due to water restrictions I couldn't wash it myself. Now during the winter I will go to a car wash to get all the salt off.

I only hand wash our vehicle. At least twice a week. It's a strange form of relaxation for me. When I disappear, DH knows he can find me out in the garage. If I can't wash it, I at least spray the salt off it with hot water during the winter.

I take my car through the car wash when it gets dirty or when I get the oil changed (the dealership always washes the car after they do anything)

When the car gets really dirty in the winter we run it through the car wash. It doesn't get washed as much in the winter, though. In the summer, we go to the car wash, and DH and my boys wash the car here at home.

My Expedition goes through the car wash...'cuz it would take forever and a day to clean, but my Lexus NEVER goes to the car wash...hand wash, hand wax ONLY. It's black, so I get really particular about how it is maintained...I won't even let the dealership wash it. My DW's car is a company car and gets washed weekly at the dealership. (works for a car dealer)

I have cleaned my car on the odd occcasion, it could just be coincidental but it ALWAYS rains the next day without fail!

I have never taken a car to the car wash, wouldn't know what to do when I got there!! Wash and hand wax it myself, I find it relaxing! Specially when it's a red Porche!!!

I only clean my car when it's so dirty you can't tell what color it is. I use the car wash at the gas station in the winter or when the weather is bad and I wash it myself when it's nice outside.

I take my truck through the car wash (I can't reach the top of it ). My SO hand washes it once in awhile during the summer. Since we've been having bad weather, I only take it when it's filthy, but during good weather season, I take it pretty regulary (every week to every 2 weeks).

I used to regularly take it to the car wash but stopped when one time they knocked off my mirror (they paid for it) and another time I had a flat tire right after (who can prove it?). It is a real dirtball right now. I was actually thinking I'm glad it's raining, it will clean it off!

It's way too cold to be washing a car outside, so I use the carwash. However a lot of the time I just skip it. It doesn't make much sense to wash all the salt off, by the time I get home it's white again.
