i am curious how many of you with class A's or C's tow a vehicle to the fort?

do you feel you really need it or is it just because you are staying a longer length of time you want to have the extra vehicle there?

We have in the past tow our car to Disney for our longer stays.
This year we are towing our Golf cart to Disney because it's cheaper to rent a car than rent a golf cart

Golf cart is about $50.00 per day

rent a car was $99.00 per week.

By the time you added all of the taxes and other hidden charges to the car it was $139.74 for the week from Alamo at the car care center 10/2006 We made reservations on-line with free upgrade to mid size, if a Malibu can be considered a mid size

We tow our car behind our motorhome. Since it is a 1100 mile trip each way for us, I like the idea of having our car in case we need it. We tow 4 down so it is really easy to connect/disconnect. We also use it for when we go offsite or AK/HS. I'd rather drive my car than have to wait for the buses. We are going to spend about $600 renting a golf cart during our upcoming trip. It's a crazy amount of money, but it's part of the experience. After our Christmas trip we may not be back to FW for a few years :sad2:

We never tow a vehicle with us on any trip. We take our golf cart in our enclosed trailer. At Disney we just use the cart and Disney transportation. Don't need a vehicle.

We will just rent a car if we ever need it. It would cost us around $5,000 to fix up our rig to tow our Tahoe with us. It is just too much$$$. Plus you burn more gas. We only get two weeks vacation a year. If we were full timers or at least had WAY more time off we might consider it.

We have a class A, and always pull our crv. For us, we like walking out of our motorhome, and having our car right there. We drive to all parks, but boat to MK. We like to eat at different onsite hotels, an it would drive us crazy to have to take a bus somewhere, to have to take another bus to a different resort. We can leave the campground and be parked at AKL in 15 minutes with our own car.

I would say since you are far away from the fort, you will have to weigh your comfort zone. Do you feel more comfortable having transportation off property for an extended day and renting a golf cart to get around the fort? Would you rather take transportation around property and take your own cart down? That to me is a personal decision that your family needs to make. We live close enough that we can do both. However, if we go on long trips, we leave the cart home.

I never tow and always rent.
It can be a pain to tow ,but it is also a pain to rent.
But, being as lazy as I am, with renting there is no work involved.
And there is no wear and tear, up keep, etc.
And since I loathe the inter park bus system the rental is much nicer.
Being able to come and go without being crammed into a bus is just fine with me.
