Wanted to go to last years but already had made plans to go to DW.Promised ourselves we would go this year and have not seen or heard anything yet, as I know that you guys are always the first to know have been on these boards morning, noon and night ( like I am not on here anyway LOL) anyway do you guys think that there will be a cruise this year as it sold out last year and you would think they would do it again.TIA Marianne

I think the opinion is that this year 2003/2004 is pretty much spoken for as far as booked cruises...so it is much more likely that in 2005. Since they book so far in advance this would be a more likely option...

Just something to ponder. If you do a booking search for the 4 day Wonder cruises you will find that in 2004 there are as of now 2 sailings that have no itineraries listed, same as the last cruise. One is in May and the other is September. Now since September is the peak month for hurricanes I don't feel that would be a possibility, but as for May, that is another story. If I remember correctly we were notified about 7 months in advance that there would be a cruise so if you think about it we still have 3 months before a notification. At least this is what we a DREAMING for. Just something to ponder about.

Would love a may sailing but will settle for a sept one ..hey I can dream can't I? just kidding..thanks for your input and it sure sounds good..Marianne

I'm new to DVC, (we're on a waitlist for BCV) can you explain the benefit of a DVC cruise? Is it less points than usual to go? Do they have special activities? Thanks

Less points than usual?? LOL - no, this is Disney we're talking about so it was more points than before it became a DVC cruise. However, they waived the $75 transfer fee and gave us a small gift each night in our stateroom. The ship was entirely DVC members and they'd replaced alot of the DCL signage with DVC/DCL versions. I was skeptical at first, but I found the cruise to be well worth the extra points, and I hope to do the next one whenever they announce it.

John VN....that's an interesting theory, and I would love to know this far in advance of a pending member cruise, but, I just checked May 2004 & September 2004 on the DCL website, and they list cruise dates that cover the entire month for the Wonder.
:( However, in keeping with your theory, I did check October 2004, and there are actually 13 days, from October 4-16th, that the Wonder is unaccounted for. A 13 day cruise? Is this how rumors get started?!?

I did the same thing - checked the DCL website. I saw the 5/2/04 date was missing from the 4 day itinerary, and again in mid September (19th??).

October 24 - 28, 2004
Cruise: October 24 - 28, Disney

All I see are missing dates in October. It sure would be nice to know if they have something planned well in advance. That was our problem last time, just not enough time to block out other commitments.

We just got back from cruising on the Magic, and we asked about this. So far, nothing has been decided, but it does sound as if it's a good possibility.

Add us to the rest of the impatient DVCers who would love to go on another Member Cruise.

That is what I just checked again. DCL has those dates missing along with another site 1800cruises. Now the funny thing is another site has those dates listed but the October dates are not showing because they have the Wonder in DRY DOCK for servicing. We are hoping for the May date being that of a Member Cruise. Can only keep on DREAMING.
