Do you think there will be more sales on airfare before Oct?

I'm looking for a flight out of Chicago or Milwaukee to Orlando leaving Oct 26 and returning Oct 30. 2 weeks ago it was around $200 round trip, non-stop from Chicago on Air Tran. Now the cheapest I can find is $276 round trip with 1 stop on the return trip. Not sure if I should keep waiting and hoping prices go down or should I just book the cheapest I can find? Thanks

Have you tried Ding? I got it on Southwest for 115$ round trip a person non-stop. My dates are Oct 1-10.

My best answer is, "probably, but you can never be certain." It's likely that fare sales will occur between now and October as long as the airlines need to fill seats. It's always possible, however, that seats will sell out enough that they don't feel the need to run a sale; or at least not a major sale. Playing the sale game is quite a balancing act. There even are last minute sales, but waiting until a week or two before your trip, but it's seldom worth taking that much risk.

southwest (according to flyertalk) the return part will be released around 7/15.

If you can wait that long you might be able to pull a DING! fare

Halloween seems to be a busy time to Orlando
