I'm a "kook" magnet as well!!! I have had more people than I can count come up and just start talking to me!!!!!!!!! Sometimes I think it's easier for people to talk to someone they don't know.

The bird poop thing made me chuckle, when we were in Disney in April there were tons of birds in the top of the carousel, I remember looking at them, then a long while later my friend noticed something on the back of DH's neck
YUP you guessed it!!! POOP so instead of calling him the usual "POOP HEAD" My DH is now known as "POOP NECK"

Really silly, but cracks me up anyway!!

But the magnet question, oh yes, seems DH and I are magnets to very bad customer servants, where theres a bad one, we are right there with them!!

California-mild earthquake
NC/SC coast- 3 summer trips we have had to leave the beach because of mandatory evacuations due to hurricanes.

I am a magnet for people in WDW who only speak Spanish. Several times a person has come up to me in one of the parks and started to speak to me in Spanish. I have no idea how they know that I can also speak Spanish, they just do. I have had a few really interesting conversations!!

I need to get on the boards more often I guess because the things that happen to people....

I am not a magnet for weird people, I don't think. I know several people who are, but for the most part, strange things don't happen to me and I am very good and making people leave me alone. And after some of the things I have read on this thread, I am VERY glad I am that way. Being thrown up on is not my idea of a fun time!!

One of them is a magnet for crazy situations, as in, if anyone is going to have their car break down in the middle of an intersection while in labor and enroute to the hospital, causing a traffic jam that backs up for miles, it would be her. The second person has the very unfortunate "magnetic power" of being vomited on. I know, it sounds nuts, but it has happened to her SO many times that it just isn't a coincidence anymore, it's downright freaky!

Does anyone else have this kind of "magnetic" personality or whatever causes this? Any thoughts?

I seem to be a magnet for rude, erratic drivers when I am in the car. The city bus who speeds past me in a school zone (my DDs' school at that!); the oblivious driver who changes lanes without signalling of checking his/her mirrors and cuts me off; the idiot who insists on turning left at an intersection with a no left turn sign (that guy sat right in front of the sign to let oncoming traffic go by so he could make his left turn!), etc.

My DDs (5 1/2 and 2 1/2) are "grandparent type" magnets. One is a blue-eyed brunette and the other is a blue-eyed blonde, and wherever we go, they seem to attract the older women who love to dote on grandkids. Fortunately, I usually get a nice compliment!

Strangers feel comfortable enough with me that they often tell me things I dont think they would tell anyone else. Its very strange. It isnt that I mind so much, I just find it odd.

I can see it now the "Kook-magnet Society" does Disney. Could you imagine what we would attract. I used to be a kook magnet, luckily I think its wearing off. Or maybe I just left all the kooks in Utah.....hmmmmm.

My son get all the attention with 'grandparent' types too, and tourists........lol one time we were in downtown Boston and these Japanese tourists asked to get their picture taken with him. LOL i know he's beautiful, but still found it odd.

I'm a magent for lost children. They seem to find me at the mall, Disney, Universal, you name it. I guess I have that kindly teacher/mother look.

I'm also a magnet for lost pets (birds, cats, dogs, and, even one time, a horse).
