brunette, do you have the same issue with Kelly who is arguing about an opinion? (Sorry KellyN, just using you as an example. I don't have an issue you you AT ALL. You are just the most recent person arguing about the expensive thing.) Or is it ok because she is arguing your side?

Since I was mentioned, Brunette and I have different opinions on some issues but we state opinions in respectful way without hanging from each other throat or getting personal. That is a difference between normal discussion and what apparently we see on this thread from some members.

LOL! I don't have any issues with anyone except the poster in question. Is what okay that she is arguing my side? I don't understand how I can be more clear here. If you disagree that's fine, if you agree that's fine. Most people can agree to disagree. And most people will not refute people's opinions time and time again. That's what I have a problem with.

I don't think, I'm alone.
Clearly you're not alone, but you weren't alone that first year that you found Disney to be a great value, either. Just like the folks in that position this year aren't alone. And just like those of us returnees who find WDW to be a great value aren't alone either. There are a good number of people on all sides.

While your point makes sense, let's just move on, please. It would be better if everyone just stopped commenting about individual posters. Present your perspective on the issue, and let's stop making things personal. Okay? Thanks!

Exactly. :goodvibes

Kelly has been arguing an opinion on the expensiveness of WDW. How is that for clarification. Why is her arguing ok and his not? Or mine, because I jumped in on that one too. I really don't see a difference except that bicker has been more consistent in the thread.

lol, sorry bicker, still want an answer, but be assured it has nothing to do with you. i am just curious why the op picks one person over others who have argued opinions.

And none makes TD's comment anything less than rude.

That poster is you. Eveyone else seems to be playing nice in the sandbox.

Please show me where I "argued" about someone's opinion regarding how expensive it is to go to Walt Disney World? It is obvious you have not read the whole thread either. But per Bicker's wishes I am not going to elaborate.

You mean everyone else is agreeing with your position - because the only person who's posted significant comments agreeing with my perspective in the past few pages is the person who pointed out this dichotomy. So, since you mentioned it, please stop attacking me. Posters should keep their comments on the issues; and not make their comments personal aimed at a poster. Just because you don't agree with someone doesn't mean their perspective shouldn't be present, even if there is only one person holding that view, and there are a thousand others holding the other view. Again, please let's move on, back to the topic. Please. Thanks.

No one is attacking you, although going through this thread you seem to say that to a lot of posters. All I am saying is that based on my visits to WDW I formed my own opinion. And to be very blunt I do not care what your opinion is or the backstory you went through to arrive at it. Nothing you can say will sway my experience and opinion from that experience.

And surely that's not my intention. Each family needs to make their own appraisals based on their own preferences and their own values. Indeed, people who feel that WDW is not worth visiting any longer hold a reasonable perspective; so do people who feel that WDW is a fantastic value.

Can we leave me out of that, please. No offence but KellyNY is not a topic of this thread.:goodvibes

There is no right or wrong answer here. I don’t understand what you are trying to argue with people. I think the quality of the Disney product has declined over my visits. Therefore I purchase that product less. Someone may have the exact opposite opinion. Who am I to say they are wrong?

I think the problem is that you think I'm trying to argue with people. I'm not. I disagreed with what people had posted. In such cases, I post my perspectives, even though they contradict perspectives posted by others.

Not much more to say about that.

And since this an internet forum you can post your perspective. But judging by the amount of people that have singled you out specifically; it seems like no one really cares what your perspective is.

I'm going to jump in here about WDW being inexpensive. I own a business, earn a decent profit, blessed with a nice home, drive a nice car, spend a good deal of disposable income, and invest a good deal of money for my future retirement; in no way do I find WDW inexpensive, even comparing it to other trips.

I think the better word for me would be a perceived value for the money I spend at WDW. I have been on 7 day cruises in the Caribbean for less than my stays at WDW. I have spent a week in a cabin in the Smokey Mountains for less including attractions and food. I have enjoyed a week at an all inclusive resort in Punta Cana for less, a resort in Aruba for less, and I have been on an Alaskan cruise for less than Disney, so no, the word inexpensive does not come to mind for me.

I have been to Hawaii and spent more than WDW. I have been to Australia and have spent more, I have been to Europe and spent more than WDW. I have spent a week in Paradise Island at Atlantis in the Bahama's for more. With that I still wouldn't call WDW inexpensive.

For the pp (leaving them nameless) who feels it's inexpensive to go to WDW, I'm truly glad for you money is of no concern . You must be part of an very fortunate and small group of people who have an endless supply of disposable income. I do not say this to throw out insults at you; instead it's to commend you that you have reached the plateau may of us strive to obtain and fall short of.

Actually, judging by the amount of people that have singled me out specifically, and did their darnedest to try to object to my posting; it seems like they really care what my perspective is. If they didn't care, then they would have ignored my posting instead of responding over and over. However, yet-again, this is about the thread instead of about the topic. Please, yet-again, please let's move on. Thanks.

lol, so as long as there is a lynch mob the lynching must be legit?:rotfl:You all are too funny!

I would say 99% could not care less what you have to say. You keep posting garbage over and over again. What's the point?

I presented my opinion, for whatever reason you disagree with my opinion. I then tell you I don't care and you keep quoting me. Catch a clue.

Hi Goofy4Prez!

Your points are valid and well taken. As Kelly mentioned above she does have to "cut" corners for her to go to WDW, as do most people including us. Example she mentioned was that could no longer buy the park hopper feature for her tickets. I also did a conservative allocation for a cost for WDW. This is for 2 adults, 2 children, 1 week, value resort, 7 days of tickets, food (counter service), airfare $200 pp round trip) and $100.00 for souveniers. The cost is approximately $3282.00 withOUT tax. Not really inexpensive.
