Do You think DISNEY has gone down hlll the last few years?

If you are talking about accommodations then you comparing hotels categories which are standart for different locations and prices which vary from location to location. Comparing hotels is different from comparing vacations. So again, apples to oranges.
Again, its actually apples to apples. Accommodations at WDW comparable to accommodations on St. John. Space, bedding, appointments, amenities, etc. Apples to apples.

Yes, surely it can, and is. The accommodations are comparable. They're apples and apples. And WDW is inexpensive by comparison.

That's ridiculously self-fulfilling. As it is, you can't compare WDW to Universal because WDW simply offers more than Universal does, starting with four gates. WDW is much more comparable to St. John USVI, with all its various activities, than Universal.

I know you want to project that Disney is expensive. How about this? I'll project what I believe, and you can project what you believe. I think that's going to work out best. Thanks.

What exactly is rediculously self-fulfilling here, serioulsy, lets not use words just because they are pretty.
And you just prooved my point, Universal has 2 gates but how many gates Cape Cod has? See, does not make sence, does it.

I just click to see what people could still be talking about, I see it's
now a whole arguement about if Disney is Expensive or Inexpensive.

Reading through the posts of people who insist it's expensive,
seriously people, and try to fight with someone who thinks it isn't?

Couple of quick thoughts:
You complain because the cost of EPCOT resort room is $300 in value season. Ignoring all ECPOT resorts are Deluxe Resorts.
You can go to Disney in the value season and spend WAY less.
Then again I can go to Chicago in Feb. and spend way less than the same room in July

And people keep saying it's expensive comparably, but yet never give a comparision. Great show me a spot where a family of 4 can spend a week and their WHOLE trip is way less, not just the room.

You get what you pay for.
Can I find a cheaper place to go? Yes, but I get less too. IMO.

To each their own.
If you think you can spend a week somewhere else and have as much fun. Good, go have fun.
If you think Disney gives you the most for your money. Good go have fun.
So what if someone else doesn't agree.

That said, I'm not going to agrue, so agree or disagree with me, Whatever.

Again, its actually apples to apples. Accommodations at WDW comparable to accommodations on St. John. Space, bedding, appointments, amenities, etc. Apples to apples.

Again comparing hotels, not vacations. Read my post again, you will see the difference.

The willingness to argue has nothing to do with whether someone has knowledge. Your post is as rude as anything that has been posted in this thread.

Actually, it's not rude. Because the poster in question has been the most condecending poster on this thread. Sorry.

I'm not. I'm using word deliberately. I practically always do. :confused3

And you just prooved my point, Universal has 2 gates but how many gates Cape Cod has?
Many more than two. There are many things to do on Cape Cod.

See, does not make sence, does it.
All you're "proving" is that nothing is ever comparable to anything. You're welcome not to compare anything to anything else, but some of us do see comparisons where you evidently do not.

Again comparing hotels, not vacations. Read my post again, you will see the difference.
Again, my family compares the whole vacation. Again, apples to apples.

Reading through the posts of people who insist it's expensive, seriously people, and try to fight with someone who thinks it isn't?
This is a great point. Just let people disagree. It isn't necessary for us all to kowtow to one perspective or another.

This is crazy. There aren't any apples to apples.

Is Disney going downhill? I think some things are better and some are worse, like most things in life. Well, maybe better than life sometimes, lol.

The op saw things that were apparently a bummer. I didn't notice stuff like that when I was there. I was there without crowds, though, and maybe that is the difference. Hope so, because I will be back there at my relatively inexpensive vacation place for my large family in January.

I'm not. I'm using word deliberately. I practically always do. :confused3

Good for you. Many more than two. There are many things to do on Cape Cod.

Every location has things to do but vacations categorize by Beach vacations, Siteseeing vacations, Amuzement Parks vacations and so on... It is strange that you never heard of it.

All you're "proving" is that nothing is ever comparable to anything. You're welcome not to compare anything to anything else.

No, all I proove that your comparison is your personal opinion, but does not hold the truth.

:)

So one bad deserves another?:confused3 That doesn't make it any less rude.

Actually, I didn't find it rude at all. For one person to keep arguing one's "opinion" really boggles my mind since this thread is strickly for opinions negative or positive. Yes, some people don't agree with my sentiments but alot do. And the people that don't agree are very gracioius about it except for the poster that keeps "arguing" other's opionions. :confused3

So, it doesn't make that post any less rude.

As I tell my kids, it doesn't matter who starts an argument, but it takes two to continue it.;)

Agree, 100%.

Of course I've heard of it. It is strange that you think I hadn't given that I actually mentioned it. :confused3 In essence, each vacation is comparable to each other by how well they provide the vacationer with enjoyable activity, how well they provide the vacationer with accommodation and amenities, etc. Those things are the basis for the comparisons I mentioned earlier.

No, all I proove that your comparison is your personal opinion, but does not hold the truth.
All comparisons in this context are personal opinion. The relevant absolute involved includes the fact that Disney is perceived as an inexpensive vacation destination. That's indisputable. While not everyone views it that way, that doesn't mean it isn't viewed that way. Surely people can choose to view things any way they wish, but there are comparable vacations (based on those criteria I listed above) that are much more expensive than WDW. I do respect the fact that you don't agree with that; I'm not sure why we need to discuss it much further, though. We each can feel comfortable with our own assessments, can't we?

This thread is all about opinions. I hate onions. A lot of people like onions. We disagree. Most people discussed why they like/hate onions. Bicker comes in and says we are all wrong and goes on a diatribe about the plight of the farmer and the complexity of the many layers. At the end of the day nobody really cares. I still hate onions and other people still love them.

That is a great advice. Would be nice if you would follow this as well.
Oh I always do. I'm making it that very clear.

Bicker comes in and says we are all wrong and goes on a diatribe about the plight of the farmer and the complexity of the many layers. At the end of the day nobody really cares.
I think this is plausible... people often don't care about why other people disagree with them - they don't care about "the many layers" and other distinctions that other people make. All they see is the disagreement and feel that it needs to be snuffed out. I can't be sure if that's the case in this thread, but perhaps you're right. However, regardless, it isn't what a discussion board is all about.

*******

LOL!!!!!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:

As long as people find greater value in WDW, year after year, they'll continue to raise prices, year after year.

I don't agree. I do not believe WDW is raising prices, year after, because folks find it's increased in value. Actually, we spend less of our vacation $$ at Disney because of the decline in value, quality and service. I don't think, I'm alone.
