Do You Think Disney Ejected This Patron??

It is amazing how many people think the rules do not apply to them. Bravo to you for saying something!!

Not that they'd ever consider doing this, but imagine the look on her face :scared: if they brought out a socket wrench and disconnected her safety harness! I seem to think that the point would have been made and she would have fled (to a lawyer no doubt). Of course, it's also a funny picture imagining her hanging on for dear life, as she soared above California... :jumping1:

Or Small World!!! :lmao:

This was always my punishment when I took school groups to WDW!! If they were late to check in, misbehaved, caused mischief or generally pissed me off, they were threatened with having to ride Small World with me......five times....... singing in their ear the whole way.......

Never had to use that punishment.... the threat was gold!!

Let me refrace that- a lot of people just feel the rules don't apply to them. That is a bit more accurate. I saw all sorts of people "breaking the rules" on our last trip. Really sad. :sad2:

Unfortunately, Disney isn't the only place where they break the rules either. How many people drive over the speed limit, or cut off other drivers, or run red lights and stop signs? If they aren't going to obey laws put in place to save their life, why should they obey a cast member? I'm way past aggravated on this one. I usually go all the way down front, across the theater, and up the far side to find plenty of empty seats (and some of them fairly close to center, since no one moved to the end of the row).

I don't see any reason for ejection from the park. Being belligerent unfortunately is not an ejectable offense. To answer your other question about ever seeing somebody be ejected from the park, I have indeed seen people being ejected. I've been the reason that two people have been ejected actually.

...I personally have a problem with having to move down at the shows like It's a Bugs life, Philamagic or Muppets... I feel like it doesn't pay to get there early and wait in line because the second you get in they ask you to move all the way down so you are on the end!...

You know that, I know that.*

So, like MojitoMiss posted earlier, I first hold back and let others go into the theater ahead of me.
Then, I walk through the doors and just WAIT and watch as everyone moves into the rows.
As the last few patrons walk in, I choose a row that's filled just right where I can sit near the middle.

If its going to be a VERY full show, I just try to NOT be the FIRST or LAST going into a row.

Its a small world is one of my favorites. I could easily watch it 5 times in a row. Hey! I'm a plumber for crying out loud!!! ANYTHING is better than laying under a mobile home in mud fixing pipes located only inches above 10 million mouse terds...... But then thats why I make the big bucks!!!:thumbsup2 :lmao: :rotfl2:
A day on IASW is better than a day at work!!!
Of course I will admit... after about the 10th show I'd have a glazy look in my eyes and probably be chewing on part of my clothing..........

Me? I like to be on the end...much quicker exit. But, it's a huge pain to crawl over those who feel that they just are entitled to sit wherever they choose. Of course, I can be a bit of a klutz, so most often as I'm crawling past, toes get stepped on, shins hit with my big ole feet, or a purse swings over and makes my point. Such a klutz.
It's a convenient time to have gas as well.

I admit it -- on our very first trip to WDW, on our very first time at Philharmagic, we (DH, DS, and I) were distracted (DS had just turned 5 on the trip, so my guess is that we were talking to him about something) and we totally missed the "move all the way down" announcement. So we unwittingly sat down midway. People behind us had mixed reactions -- some sat, too, others crawled over, suddenly we were aware of grumbling and then one very nice woman said, "maybe you didn't hear, but you are supposed to move all the way down the aisle to fill in all the seats." We apologized profusely, jumped up, moved right down, and never made the mistake again. It was such a relief to have a person tell us nicely what we had done wrong (and who gave us the benefit of the doubt).

So, as veterans, we take this same approach -- if someone does something like sit down rather than fill in all the seats, we nicely explain the procedure (and assume that the person is making an honest mistake). Yeah, some people are doing it intentionally and those folks generally don't correct their "mistake," but it keeps our vacation mood light and happy to go this route. Finally, a plea to take it easy on those folks who really are not in the know....

I do the same thing! If people plop themselves down in the middle of the row after being told to move to the end and I have to climb past them, all of a sudden my whole balance disappears and toes get stepped on and my purse always ends up hitting someone. (Mind you, this is for adults only, it's not the childrens fault the adults are so rude):rotfl: :rotfl:

We were just at WDW 4-7 thru 4-11 and saw several examples of rude people working the system. Some were confronted by CMs and they just pretty much laughed at the CM and got even more rude.

The big problem I have with the whole thing is that being rude doesn't bother these people at all and as long as CMs are told to just let it go the problem will just continue to grow.

I am no angel but when there are rules posted or someone in charge tells me to follow the rules I feel obligated to do so.

I usually lose my balance as I go by and fall butt first into their faces. Then I usually give them the "Oh I'm sorry, I didn't see you there!"
But even better is "GrumpOne's" response about gas. Then again though, in Bug's Life they would just blame it on the stinkbug!

She was a jerk, but I bet the real reason there were extra people at the exit was in case something developed with the riders coming off. They might have been there for you actually, if you seemed aggressive enough.

I really regret not slowing down on leaving Soarin' to see if the woman in question was allowed to go her merry way or if the 2 CMs I saw by the exit door were indeed security, called there to deal with her. I agree with the decision to just go ahead and run the ride, Soarin' was insanely popular the entire 11 days we were there, and I'm sure that if the ride operators tried to lift her bodily out of her chosen seat she would have made an already ugly scene even worse. As this was unfolding, I was thinking that they might toss her after the ride so I just assumed that the Disney CMs by the exit door halfway up the ramp were there for that purpose. They were in a position where they could just wisk her out the door before she could create a further disturbance. In general, this made me wonder just where the line is, beyond which a person gets removed from a park. I'm pretty sure that if I loaded up on Labatts one fine day in Canada then whizzed into the waterfall that I'd get a quick trip to the parking lot, but surely something less than that could earn an ejection.

why get so upset over such a little thing?

There are so many more problems in this world to get upset about...:confused3

I agree but sometimes I let rude inconsiderate people get the best of me. I need to remind myself to just let it go.
We were waiting in line for Pirates of the Carribean last week behind a large family. I was alone with my little kids and this woman came and cut in line in front of the family ahead of me. Nobody was paying attention, but I watched her signal to her husband to join her. They were looking around and laughing to each other. I didn't say anything but I found myself thinking
"evil thoughts" on them as we waited to get on the ride. :stir: It was awful! I was hoping the woman would trip or gain weight... things like that! Can you believe it? All over a Disney ride! I had to laugh at myself!:o

I know this might be mean but since she wasn't very Magical hopefully some of the food in World Showcase ended up not agreeing with her stomach and she visited the toilet all day.

it irritates the heck out of me when i see these things happen, it ends up being the conversation the rest of the day..so in a way it does put a damper on your magical day...and why would the cms say have a disney day because they are ticked at you? i would think they were being nice!:confused3 anyway, i seen many "almost fights" trying to get in the doors of mermaid, philharmagic, and bugs life...my family just holds back and waits till it clear-if you get seperated we all know to just get on the side and wait for the rest of the group.some people are just ignorant and theres nothin we can do to change it.

Maybe she should have been ejected from the park, maybe not (too hard for me to judge since I wasn't actually there), but certainly from the ride. Security should have removed her.

:scared1: What happened?

My husand used to work security at Disneyland. They will remove people from the park if they become dangerous ( get out of their seats in the middle of rides or bother people in the parks like heelys (that is why they are banned)) but I don't think being rude gets you kicked out. If you have the right person working and you push the right buttons then I think it can, but not as a general rule. I'll have to ask him when he gets home what the protocole was for something like that.
