Do you talk to your pets?

It is so funny how much we do it and don't realize it. I just walked downstairs to get some water and my one cat anytime he hears me walking down the stairs will be waiting for me and just start meowing and follow me into the kitchen. I get to the bottom of the steps, he starts and I just start talking to him LOL. If I walk into a room and they are there I will say hello, ask whats going on, just as if it were my DH or something. Just funny and hoping that others here do the same thing!

My cats and I talk all the time..I even know there different meows for different things.Feed me,Pet me...They even meow when I set their food down.I swear they are saying thanks

Oh yeah, I talk to my dog. I always say "hello, my girl" when I get home (in a chipper voice) .... hmmm, maybe I've been living alone for too long! But I swear that I ONLY RARELY talk back for her

Absolutely! Lily, my older kitty, answers me with a sweet 'meow' when I ask her something. She will speak back with a 'meow' for as long as I will talk to her. My new kitty, Charlie, just looks at me with a blank stare when I talk to him. He needs to learn to talk back, but he is just a baby, lol.

I have long conversations with our old aging Lab.. and she just looks and nods.

I start talking to the poodle and he give me a look like "You know I'm not human, right?" and trots away... and I stand there and think I just got dissed by a dog.

They're pretty responsive, as well. They'll usually at least look my way if I start talking and often answer back.

I always tell my kitty what a pretty baby he is and he never fails to meow a response. The more I talk the more he talks. It's really funny actually.

I talk to them all the time, I think Sophie is really trying to understand what we say too! She is a very emotional dog, she's our baby, we love her.

The guinea pigs, Simon and Solomon, we just got them, but we talk to them too. Solomon enjoys being spoken too, Simon is just too shy to deal with any of that now.
