Do you stick with your must-do's or try new restaurants?

Do you book new or old restaurants(ones you've tried before and liked)?

  • I book almost all must-do's, the same restaurants every trip

  • I book an even mix of must-do's and new restaurants

  • I book almost all new restaurants, with only 1 or 2 tried and true restaurants

  • other

I'm currently trying to set up my ADR's for our trip that we just booked for November. I like to try new places mostly and just keep @2 must-do's every trip. DH then chimed in and said "if you're planning ADR's, you have to book...", and listed about 5 must-do's, which almost take up all of our TS credits.

How many must-do's do you keep every trip? Or do you mostly book new places to try something different? I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone does. Thanks.:goodvibes

We do a TS dinner every night of our 8-9 night (on average) trip.

We do all of our favorites, which include some MUST DO's ('Ohana, Cape May, Teppan Edo, Yachtsman) every trip but we also include a NEW restaurant every trip.

This past June it was Via Napoli.

We tend to do a pretty even mix. Alot depends on the trip, what else we are doing, how long we are there, etc. As many of our trips tend to be for half/full marathons at WDW, that kind of limits when we can do buffets, as well as what type of food to eat before a race. Most of the new restaurants tend to be those at resorts which take up a fair bit of time to deal with, but Epcot also has a bunch we have yet to eat at.

I voted for "other" and here's why. We have been often enough and tried practically every restaurant out there, so there is little that is "new" to us. But that doesn't mean we go to the same places every time we visit. We probably have a rotation of 10-12 favorites and hit 4 or 5 of them each trip. So we neither "try new places" nor do we "go to the same places every time".

Since we have eaten at all but 5 TS at WDW, we are mostly repeating. We do not have any must do's so we rotate our choices and make selections based on who is vacationing with us.

I have dined at bluezoo on my last 4 vacations and have it booked for our upcoming so that's one we repeat frequently.

Ifthey would add another good Signature restaurant, we'd no doubt try that. But for the most part, we do the same palces each trip.

About even. This trip (6 days, 5 nights) we're having 4 repeat TS meals. I'd consider 2 of them "Must do"s for every trip. We'll be trying 1 new TS place, but we plan on trying 5 or 6 new CS places with only 1 repeat from a previous trip. There are also a few snacks and adult beverages I'm aching to try since this is my first Disney trip over 21. So, although a majority of our TS meals this trip are repeats, we only have 1 TS per day (and one day with 0 TS), so we'll end up eating somewhere new at least once per day.

We try to mix things up a bit. One of the big aspects in a WDW vacation is the restaurant options. We personally feel that if you stick to the same restaurants over an over again the vacation can start to get a little stale. I think we actually have a longer list of restaurants we won't do again than are must do's.

We try to book new places every time we go. We do have our favorties but would like to try new things. The only repeat this time will be FlameTree BBQ. That's a must for us at AK and a turkey leg too at HS.

I voted for Other.

On a 7 day trip, we book only 3 maybe 4 TS restaurants and they are all new except for the Sci-Fi Diner. The kids love that place so we go there nearly every trip.

We are getting to the point that we may start repeating a few.

We always like to try to do Kona Cafe and House of Blues but sometimes we don't make it to both. My family really likes new TS dining experiences, so most of our choices are new to us. We are opposite about our CS choices. We usually return to our favorites rather than try something new (except in Epcot WS).

I book mostly old favorites but try at least one new place each trip. Last time our new one was the Turf Club. This time we will only go to 3 TS places but we will be going back there. Our new one this time will be the Flying Fish.

Give us the oldies:rotfl2:. Really we love going back to the same old places, matter of fact we make it point to to make it to all of our fav/norm's every trip. We are doing the DxDP this year so we will make it to all of them.

I like to try new restaurants, but I've found some now that I just LOVE and want to make sure I hit them up too.

The next time I'm going we are only trying one new TS b/c my husband has never eaten in Cinderella's Castle and wants to try there which takes up 2 TS.

And I HAVE to eat at Ohana and Le Cellier, so that leaves us with only one new choice, the Tusker House bk! :)

I'd have preferred to not do the Castle and try somewhere new, but my DH puts up with my WDW obsession and is taking me so I thought I'd give him this one. ;)

On our upcoming 8 day trip we will def have 3 TS mustdo's and the rest will be new experiences.

We usually do a mix of must do's and new ones. There are a few places that are favorites that we always have to go to, but then there are many others that we want to try.....so I throw some new ones in here and there so we get a good variety ;).

The kids and I love Disney  So if it were up to us, we would book the same restaurants each time... but hubby likes to try new foods. So I book new restaurants on each trip then DH enjoys himself as well. We try to throw in a few of our faves so the kids feel a sense of Disney tradition.

We have dined at every WDW restaurant except the Wave. In the last few years we have enjoyed meals at two new restaurants Sanaa and La Hacienda de San Angel.
