Do you share food servings when at DLR?

You will never see those people again... Who cares what they think. :-)
They will never see you again, so they will probably not even notice your plates.

My husband and I split meals and snacks all the time! It allows us to get a taste of everything we want.

Plus portions are realistically too big for one person anyway. He hard part is always deciding in what to share. Lol. We take turns when we can't decide.

We split meals and snacks even when not on vacation. We are health conscience and like to be mindful if what and how much we consume.

Do what makes you happy!

Like everyone else here, I split meals! Most of the time, there is no way I could eat a whole meal by myself. I would find that a waste of food and money.

Some exceptions: dessert (keep your fork away from mine!!!!), candy (mmmm...Mickey truffles!), and churros.

I wish someone would share with me! My husband and teenage son inhale their food. After my teenage son finishes his he starts eye balling every one elses! I have a 7 year old that would share with me but he is too picky for my liking :rolleyes1

Who cares what others think. You are there to have a good time. Also why buy more food than you need just to make others think better of you?
With that said; My wife and I share meals all the time. Even a pretzel here and there. But especially the fries at the restaurant near Soarin as you can load them up with everything in the condiment bar!

I really don't think you need to worry or concern yourself over it at all.

There are many people who split meals for various reasons : Portion sizes , small meals vs large ones , personal preference , etc. It really doesn't matter why :)

The first time I ate at Plaza Inn for the fried chicken I was SO hungry I inhaled it all myself..but now I need to split it which isn't a bad thing at all , if anything it's probably my favorite meal outside of table service in DLR.

I'm the type who snacks/prefers lots of small meals over the typical meal schedule so often times DH and I will split things including snack through the day. Never once have we worried about it - heck I even have ordered a kids meal at counter service for myself and not felt bad about it because honestly the adult portion is just too much. I also have recurring stomach issues so sometimes what is available for adults is just not appealing at the time.

Enjoy all the yummy things :)

We do it all the time, not just at DLR/WDW. We often share meals at restaurants. We have two DDs, ages 4 and 2, and my DH and I usually each share our meal with one of them, letting the one who is sharing with us help us pick the meal. It's not just about affordability for us our kids are not big fans of typical kid's fare. I'm not about to force my kids to learn to like fried nuggets and hamburgers, so I share my dish with them. My DD4 and my favorite meal at DLR our last trip was the salmon entree at Storyteller's (it was just her and I as DH had taken DD2 back to the hotel for a nap). I just asked for an extra plate for her, and I split the portion at our table. With the bread service, it was just perfect for the two of us, and my DD can pack away the fish, so that's saying something! :rotfl:

We just ask for extra plates for us to split with them. I don't give it much thought as to what the server thinks. It works for us and is within the rules.

My husband and I do it all the time, everywhere that serves large meals. Just last night we got curry to go from our favourite place - ONE order and it was enough for both of us AND my lunch today. Serving sizes are as ridiculous as the price tags these days... I'd prefer meals to be a few dollars less and half the size for variety sake, but what can you do? I'm lucky we both like the same things! :cool1:

No one has ever looked at us oddly although in the back of my mind I do wonder if they secretly hate us since it means the tip is less than if we ordered two large entrees instead.

Edited to add after reading some comments: that goes for the desserts and treats too. We'd rather split a mickey bar and a churro later than eat the whole treats ourselves. :)

We share pretty much all the food items, that way we can try a little bit of everything! Don't worry about what people think, chances are they aren't paying that much attention to you anyway :)

Just got back yesterday. My adult DD and I shared at both Flo's V8 and Plaza Inn. I was impressed that the lady dishing up the chicken dinner at Plaza Inn noticed we ordered only one dinner and asked if we were sharing. When I said yes, she handed me an empty plate to make sharing easier!

When I'm with my mom in WDW, I am splitting plates if we want to have the same thing. American portions are huge. I frequently find myself taking part of a restaurant meal (I really like) home with me. I will probably do the same thing at DL at least a couple times over the trip.

Honestly, I eat like a pig at disneyland. ::yes::Whatever/whenever I want.
Diet before and after but eat as much or as little as you want without a care in the world at DLR. Split your meal or buy two meals for yourself at a time. :beach:
Worry about it all later.
