Do you reuse your Magic Bands or get new ones?

We all have quite a few (like 10-12 each) and we get new ones every trip. We are working on collecting a full set of the new style ones. We bring about 4 or 5 when we go and switch which band we wear daily to match our outfit or our mood.

I reused mine last trip as my previous trip was only 6 months prior. Seemed like a waste to get another one. Next trip, though, I will get a new one to ensure I have a fresh battery.

You should always get new bands.

That way you can abuse the system and get more FP+ than the system was intended to allow.

Yes because the MB are just a key to your MDE account. Each magic band will access the same information

Batteries are only needed for long-range things like ride photos. For things where you have to touch the your magic band to something (opening your hotel door, entering the parks, using FP+, etc), the battery doesn't come into play.

We always get new ones. It's become a part of getting ready for our trip...we all get together when they come and decorate the bands. Buy snacks, put on Disney music and bling up our bands. Then we keep the ones we used.

I know. But I don't want to miss ride photos.

Have 2 each of the new 'style' bands and love how flexible and thin they are - much more comfortable than our old ones, so we'll continue to get a few new different colored ones.
Have had no trouble with any or ours fading though.
