Do You Remember Your First Date With Your SO?

Thanks for jolting my memory. I was trying to remember what bands were touring late summer/early fall 1981. I know the Rolling Stones were, but they were playing outdoor stadiums; it wouldn't have been MSG. Van Halen and Tom Petty were touring around the same time as well.

I went to Blue Oyster Cult too, at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. It was likely within a few days of their MSG concert. But I don't remember if Foghat was the opening band. We usually skipped the opening acts. It was more important to, ahem, get prepared, with various substances before the main act.

I can still also picture the Blue Oyster Cult shirt my then boyfriend bought for me. Seems like so long ago.

Now my daughter has a boyfriend that is also into heavy metal music - much different though from way back when. So far no concerts for them though

I saw "The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes" back around that time too. Wasn't that when a young Kurt Russell did wholesome family movies?

It was playing at one of those new fancy twin theatres. Imagine that! TWO theatres in the same building! My parents dumped me and my brother into "Computer" while they went to see the R rated movie next door.

Yep that was back when Kurt Russel was doing movies for Disney! He did several playing a college student, but this is our favorite (of course!)

Sure do! We went to see a play which was really long,lol We had met before but and I liked him but never went out and I didn't see each other for a few years and then were matched on Eharmony :good vibes So anyway, the play was long, we didn't get to chat much but then went for coffee afterwards and chatted for over two hours. That was almost seven years ago and now we're getting married in 2 weeks!!!
