Do you remember your first "date" with your current significant other, even if it was decades ago?
DW and I met in college December 1979. It was probably right before finals and Christmas break. Next semester we started hanging out together, and our first date was going to a college hockey game. Princeton vs. St. Lawrence. (We weren't Princeton students). This was the same night that the US beat the USSR in hockey at the 1980 Winter Olympics. I guess I was smitten since I was willing to forgo watching it. I didn't think the US would beat the USSR anyway.
Grabbed a bite to eat afterwards, then stayed up and talked all night in one of the dorm lounges. Both of our respective roommates were already asleep so that was the best we could do for privacy.
I think we went to one of the on-campus movies the next night, and then everything after that is a blur.

They were always trying to set me up.So this guy shows up to the beach in SNEAKERS and SOCKS! Now, I'm a FL so this just didn't fly with me, plus his style just wasn't what I was into at the time. I spent the day flirting with Mike's brother
I realized that he's a pretty awesome guy and we've been together ever since.
