Keith drunk??
I first met Marie 42 years ago, back in 1966, at a company with both worked at. I noticed her.
I finally asked her out for a date, skiing also, Buck, in January of 1968, to which I received a big NO. I pursued Marie for 11 months, at work when I could, and on the phone at night. We wound up having pretty routine phone conversations, 3 or 4 nights a week, average of 4 hours a night. (No cell phones, email, Internet, IM, text, etc.) We both lived at home with our parents.
Finally, and after literally praying for success (honestly, to St Jude), I was able to get her to go out with me, to morning Mass, on Thanksgiving Day of 1968. Next date was Christmas Eve, and have been together ever since. Married, September 11th, 1971, 37th anniversary in a week.
And, Buck, we have never been skiing either, nor I since.

Really?!! Skiing too?
that is so funny, Dan!
In college other guys stored their beer in HIS fridge. Imagine that.
He was as persistant as you were! So, did Marie break your engagement also? I doubt it. I really had the families SCARED.
