do you remember school house rock?

Today I used the School House Rock video to teach nouns to my Kdg. students! They were singing "A noun is a person, place or thing ..." all day long! Hey, drove the message home, right!? They laughed over Chubby Checker and the Beatles.

Anyway, DS's favorite happens to be "Pack Your Adjectives" -- "He was a hairy bear, he was a scarey bear ..."

And, just like everyone else, I learned the preamble to the SHR tune! DS was impressed to hear me sing along.

i don't remember a shr about vowels either, but count me in as another one who can't recite the preamble w/o singing the shr tune in my head or the planets in order w/o singing interplanet janet to myself, lol. my DD8 LOVES schoolhouse rock now too

when i mentioned this thread to dh he started singing this

p.s. to 'simpsons fans'-the singer of "i'm just a bill" also sang "i'm an amendment to be" for that episode.

Do I remember it????? My Saturday morning revolved around School House rocks when I was a kid!!!!!
