We use paper plates during football season when nearly every day brings a practice or game - my son is on one team and my daughter cheers for another so from mid-August to early-November things are a little nuts meal-wise. I've also been known to use them when we have a full house. Memorial Day weekend, for example, we had 13 people so breakfast and lunch were on paper or I would never have got out of the kitchen.
Even so, I try to minimize their use. I don't mind using paper plates as a tool to make life easier from time to time but I don't see how constant use is a good thing or something of which to be proud.
