Do you pay cash on the weekends??

I think of points as cash. I just paid for them in advance. So for our family we frequently pay cash for friday/saturday nights to avoid having to move around. In May we do two weeks. One week Sun-Sat at the world and Sat-Fri at Vero. So we get two weeks and pay two days of them in cash.

I try and not think about any difference. If it's cheaper to pay cash than (in my mind - opinions vary) devalue the points i own, I'll pay cash. In may I've rented a two bedroom at SSR for less than $500 a night. At 65 points for the same two bedroom, I'm "getting" less than $10 a point. So I use Cash.....

But like someone above said, everyone has their own strategery.....that's the nice thing about how it's structured.

I like to extend out trips and pay cash for the weekends. I will also plan on going to Universal and stay there for the weekend and they transfer to DVC. This year we have a GV at OKW for a week and it wiped out my points for this year and next year!!!! Looks like I'm going to have to borrow for my trip in 09!!!

if they'd only offer a TS @ Universal with FOTL percs , it'd make our touring plans easier

We are doing it at OKW this July because we are staying 7 nights there and then 6 at BCV. So we are able to go for a longer trip by using one weekend night points at BCV and using cash at OKW for two weekend nights at 397.50for a 2br. (DVC discount) I think it is an awesome tool to make a trip longer. WE borrowed points too for this year...so I didn't want to borrow all of them.

We just booked our 1st trip home and decided to be stingy with our pts. We are staying in 2 studios for Fri/Sat and moving to a 2 bdrm for Sun-Thur. Saving a grand total of 32 pts. Helps with our next trip. That gives us 2 more days in a studio Sun-Thur. Anything to get a longer stay at WDW
