I just wondered if anyone had bought this, and what you thought about it. Any feedback would be helpful.:yay:

Bought it at costco, DD 13 tried it out... returned it... need I say more.....
The family likes Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus so much better (just couldn't justify the price)

Just got it, got a great deal at Dick's Sporting Goods for $19.99 and will be trying it out tomorrow morning!

I'm interested in this too. We love our Wii Fit Plus and I've been wondering how the EA Sports compares to it.

Looking forward to everyone's feedback!

I got it for Christmas and I really like it.

They have a very easy 30 day plan to start with and you follow the workouts they set out for you each day.

I hated Wii Fit - while it was like I was playing games - I wasn't sure I was properly working the muscles that were targeted - with the EA Active - there was a tutorial before each activity to make sure you had the correct positioning etc. Then they have someone on the screen showing you exactly how you should do each move. It feels more like a "proper" workout to me than Wii Fit did. Plus I hated the Balance board - you can add the balance board into the EA Active routine if you want to.

The workouts are about 30 minutes and I find easy to work into my daily routine. I highly reccomend it!

My favorite is the boxing -I can't wait to reach the level where I am doing it like the commercial ;)

I just started the 30 day program this morning, burned about 162 calories. The strap kept slipping off of my leg, so I'll need to keep it super tight. I only had trouble with the ice skating. I can't figure out how to jump and land it "just right" so that I get credit for it. I am really out of shape so I was always tired when that came up in the program.

I want to play around with it tonight to see if I can just do some running/walking combination - I liked that & burned more calories that way.

So, so far, so good.

I have had it since Sept. It's okay for at home workouts but I'm a competitive swimmer and used to burning around 900 calories in a 90 min swim practice 4 times a week so the Active is a little light for me. But on my off swimming and lifting weight days, I do enjoy the boxing and some of the other parts of it. For Christmas my husband got me the More Workouts and I enjoy that more since it added in abs and push-ups which I have to do for swimming anyway. The stretch band is WAY too light for me. I need to switch to one of the thicker bands that I already own to make it better for me. So I guess it depends on your fitness level to begin with. For me it's a bit too light but I'm used to harder workouts. For someone who is not, it is probably really good.

I think it is a great workout compared to Wii Fit. I find Wii Fit fun to play, but not a good workout, I could never get my heart rate up.

I get my heart rate up with Active. I did the 30 day challenge at medium intensity or maybe it was the highest level, can't remember. All I can say is I couldn't walk for days. There were a ton of lunges. As much as I hate lunges, they need to be done and this makes you do them.

I love Active over Wii Fit as far as a workout.

For the previous poster about the skating, you need to jump when you get to the END of the ramp, not before the ramp. If you jump at the end of the ramp, you will get credit for the tricks.

I got this when it first came out. I love being able to make my own routines. Before my asthma started acting up and I had to take steroids, it helped me lose about 17 pounds.

GameStop.com had it for like 27 dollars. Mine came yesterday. I have to try it out. Two girls I work with have it and love it.

I have trouble with the skating too...I also have bad knees so jumping isn't really an option for me - I kept missing it - but I felt like even though I didn't get the trick points - I was still doing the work!

How did you get it for such a good price???

Someone on either SlickDeals or Gotta Deals posted about the Gamestop price and then someone said that Dick's had it for $19.99, but it had been a few weeks prior. I called Dick's on 12/30 and they said they still had it for that price, so I bought it the next day on New Year's Eve. My store had 4 left.

I got it and I really enjoy it. Although I am bad and haven't used it in a while. :(
