I live in Texas. No guns here. Grew up with them, but no interest. At all.

I do not. I never would have considered until I moved to my current location. Guns are a way of life. A good majority of my church has them. Now that I am around them more, and DH wants one I am considering one for myself eventually.

Other - I don't, but I'd like to. I appreciate the skill involved in target shooting after dating a guy years ago & going to shooting ranges with him. My DH used to target shoot (even black powder guns) and has lost interest.

Just not a priority in my budget at the moment.

My husband is in military. He can shoot quite well. We do not own any weapons.

My dad was a small game & bird hunter. He had rifles standing up in the corner in the room when I was growing up. Unloaded. I never touched them. Yet I used to go hunting with him & was taught a healthy respect of the dangers they pose & how to properly handle them.

I have never fired a weapon.

In the interest of personal safety I don't think people should be discussing what weapons they may or may not have in their homes, especially given the amount of other information people give out on these boards.

Never. Held a gun in my hand until I was hired as law enforcement. The first day I had it qualified that night higher then any veteran officer.
I don not like guns, do not believe even those in my family with assault guns or high capacity loaders should have them.

I do have a 38 cal five shot I am going to sell for a 380 to carry for self protection over my Gluck. I am retired but a licensed private investigator. Of late I unfortunately feel the need to carry and do have all clearances, training and permits.

Sad world we live in. At least everyone should have mace. Also, be alert at ATMs when stopping at night. Several attacks on women. That being said, I would give them the cash, not a gun in the face.

Several. I wish I could afford to shoot them, but ammunition kinda went through the roof about four years ago. And of course, never came back down again. Now prices are likely to shoot up again, and for the same nonsensical reasons.

My guns lived at my parents' house until they moved, and by then Tex Jr. was in his teens, and gun safety had been drummed into him by me and by the Boy Scouts. We have some friends with young children, and they know we have them in the house. However, they also are gun owners, so their kids have learned gun safety since they were old enough to talk.

Now, I want a decent .22 pistol so I can afford to shoot without having to take out a loan.

I married a Texan. My first exposure to Texas culture came on my first trip to visit my FIL. A neighbor had shot and killed a burglar a few days before our arrival. I said to my FIL that his neighbor was likely in for some legal headaches. My FIL said "no, he called the police, they came and picked up the body". About a year later, he sent me a newspaper clipping about a court ruling where the burglar's estate was ordered to pay the homeowner who killed him for damages the burglar did while breaking in, and for cleaning up after he was shot in their house. Only in Texas.

That's as much a reason as any I haven't purchased any larger calibers, save for the hunting rifles. As easy as it is to burn through $10-15 worth of .22 shells, I'd need a second job to afford to shoot larger calibers on a regular basis
