Do you not like foods/drinks for odd reasons?

I don't think I've ever drank a glass of milk except as an infant. It grosses me out. I can do a sip or 2 of chocolate milk but never plain. I only put a little in my cereal too, enough to wet it. I don't like parsley, basil, or cilantro. I will also only eat non chunky meatballs. If I can see the garlic and parsley in them-ewww.
That's about it except I won't eat venison rabbit buffalo or organ meat.

I have a long list of foods I don't like. But there are a few I do like the taste of, but the texture bothers me.

I like strawberries in theory. I get a strawberry sundae nearly every week. But I usually pick out the actual strawberries in the topping. Fresh strawberries are better, but I still don't love them. I like orange juice, but oranges often make me gag. They also always seem sour to me. And I love clam chowder. But I won't eat the clams! My dad always rolls his eyes at me when I say I am done with my clam chowder and in the bottom of the bowl are all the clams.

cottage cheese . . . enough said - just can't get past the texture

Lunch meat has to be shaved (falling apart). I can't bring myself to eat it if it's sliced, no matter how thin.

I detest coconut! It tastes like what I think sugar-coated hair would taste like! Blech!

I will not eat any kind of seafood. When I was little I used to always say if it swims with Shamu it's out.

I hate mushrooms. They are vile little things that have a weird texture.

I will eat meatballs but detest meatloaf. Do not know why but I do.

Mayo freaks me out.

I can not stomach eggs on their own but love them in stradas

I cannot stand mayo. On ANYTHING. No pasta salads, potato salad, flavored mayo...just NO NO NO! :lmao:

I don't like strawberry ice cream, but I like fresh strawberries on ice cream.

I can't drink chocolate milk, and I can't stand milk on cereal. I eat it out of the bowl dry.

I have so many food aversions that my family has teased me mercilessly for years on end. The worst is that I absolutely can't eat onions. They are in almost everything - if I bite even a tiny piece of onion, I gag, and will probably feel it burn my stomach for hours on end. Same reason I also hate peppers. Hating onions and peppers doesn't leave you with many choices in American food. :sad2:

I also hate spices that you can see like rosemary, basil, cilantro etc - won't even take a bite if I see those spices in my food. Can't stand tomato seeds in my food, so even pizza and tomato sauce and spaghetti are now problems for me.

I hate raw vegtables that invade other foods, like celery in tuna - YUCKKK! I like things completely plain and in their "whole" form (not mixed with sauces or spices). I have no problem with dairy though - I could drink chocolate milk all day.

I am really having a tough time finding food I like. And I can tell I been getting even more picky as I get older. Sigh.

I don't like rice - the texture does nothing for me.

Don't care for nuts either. Love peanut butter, won't eat peanuts :confused3.

I cannot stand bananas. I won't eat one I and I can barely stand to touch them. But I will eat them if they are hidden in something like a smoothie or banana bread. As long as no "chunk" of banana is in there I can eat it. I also LOVE banana flavored Laffy Taffy.

I can't stand raisins unless they are in something. For instance, I can eat an oatmeal raisin cookie or cereal with raisins but I won't eat a plain raisin.

I really want to like yogurt. I buy it all the time because my kids eat it and I will have every intention of eating it and pick out flavors I like but I cannot bring myself to eat it ever. (Unless it is in a smootie with bananas!)

I don't like mayonaise unless it is mixed into chicken or tuna salad. I don't like mustard either. But I will mix mayo and mustard together and then spread the mixture lightly over the bread on my sandwich. And I cannot eat american cheese (like Kraft singles) unless it is melted.

No cheese on my veggies either. Like cheese sauce on broccoli....yuck!!

I love any and all seafood with the exception of squid/octopus. I once saw octopus on a chinese buffet and it had all the little suction cups on the bottom. My DH put one on his plate to show me and when I wasn't looking DD who was 2 at the time, picked it up and put it in her mouth. I wanted to hurl!!

I cannot eat organ meats. I have tried.....I have failed.

And I don't eat beets or hogs head cheese. I have never even tried either one but they just look gross.

Otherwise, I will eat most anything else.

I'm not too picky an eater, but I can't stand crisp vegetables. Veggies have to be well cooked for me. Don't let me see celery in anything, won't touch it, even if it's in soup. I'll eat chicken, pork and beef but occasionally get this thing in my head about where they came from and won't touch them, especially ground beef.

And the worst things for me are peaches, especially canned cling peaches with the strings hanging from the middle.

Not me, but DS16 absolutely refuses to eat or taste anything orange. Not just orange flavored, but if it's orange in color, he won't eat it either. It started when he was about 2 or 3 years old.
