Wow! There was a lot of chatting on here today -- do I sense some growing excitement!!!
And I just have to laugh about the whole canasta thing that started over on Jen's thread, because we actually have played a lot of canasta (the actual card game), but now I can never mention that because everyone would be like

!
Definitely growing excitement! For awhile, there was no planning to do. Now, there's not enough time!
My sister and I used to play canasta online alot on pogo. It's lots of fun. We were just talking about deleting our pogo memberships since she will be living so close now.
I haven't gotten much done since summer started
Yeah, if you don't count finding an apartment, moving out of the old, unpacking in the new, having a new nephew, planning an exceptional Disney trip, and having popsicles and Grey Goose with Voldemort. You've gotten NOTHING done. I have to agree with you.
You could always pack a bag of trail mix and get PB cups at the resort. I would not advise carrying chocolate in the Florida heat
This from the lady who INSISTS on buying an expensive chocolate monorail for the 4-year-old who has everything!

I don't think I'll pack the trail mix. We won't need it. Plenty of food.

Do you have a premade scrapbook?
No. My friend does CM but I can't get myself to spend the time on it. Just like I can't justify spending 4 hours playing golf. It's one of those things.
I'm thinking of organizing everything in the binder in those see through plastic page sleeves. This way I won't have to fish around a disorganized folder. I am not this organized in my everyday life. I don't balance my checkbook or even record all of the checks I write or debit card purchases I make. My mom works in banking and cringes whenever I tell her.
My binder has lots of plastic sleeves. They are semi-waterproof and I can pull them out and take them with me.
I don't balance my checkbook either. I also don't record all my checks. Who has time? And I'm an accountant!!
I'm going to subscribe to the UG website today. It's so cheap, so why not?
So did you?
So glad to hear your mom will get a new bag for her birthday.
We're shopping. So far I like your Tumi best. She wants something just big enough to carry a bottle of water, and doesn't want a backpack.
We have 19 days!!!! Or 2 weeks, 5 days
I am so excited!! I like counting the days better than the weeks. Do you think our tickers will switch to days sometime soon?
Wow, you've been busy! I hope Tate recovers well. I see you solved your ME dilemma. I think you could very easily wear business casual on the plane and not have to pack anything extra. I think they just mean not casual casual, not really business-y. We just packed out swimsuits in our carry-ons - I really loved not having to do baggage claim!
Oh, and cute clothes! Must. Not. Go. Shopping...
Tate seems to be ok. Katie is there tonight. I am not sure if he saw the orthopedic today. Will keep y'all posted.
Thanks for the advise on ME. We are definitely doing that.
Susan,
I hope Tate heals quickly! I have no clue what canasta is

Does that make me a dork?

Let me know how Garden Grocer works out, might have to try that on our next trip!

Big Thumbs up to Jo for buying mom a "cool bag" for her birthday
Thanks for thinking of Tate. He's a good kid. Canasta is a card game - sorta like Gin Rummy. Two can play. I guess more could play - not sure. If you really want to get it, you almost have to read both Jen's (Native NYer) and my PTRs simultaneously. We are always good for a few laughs a day. So Jen's been playing alot of canasta with Voldemort lately.
I will let you know about GG. I think you have to order lots to make it worth it, since the delivery fee is $12 and they expect a tip on top of that.
Yeah, glad Mom won't be sportin' her Mickey Mouse fanny pack this time.
I don't know what canasta the actual card game is, but I have a pretty good idea of what "canasta" is code for.
I have a pretty good idea that your pretty good idea is the right idea.
