Our requests are usually top/upper floor and maybe, depending on the resort, a certain view.

I answered sometimes. My requests are always something easy like "Upper Floor" or "not overlooking the XYZ view". I'm only successful about 1/2 the time, but its all good - I'm at WDW after all!

the atrium is the room in front of the gym with the tall ceiling at VWL.the ceiling for this thing is on the 4th floor.

------------
op - allergy to tobacco - so non-smoking was first

then mother was in her 80's and had trouble walking so it was wheelchair so first floor (stayed at alot in OKW), like water view (over golf) so that was request.

at SSR never requested anything - although often ended up at Congress Park so someone requested close to DD. this last trip was Springs - loved it - despite having to walk to Congress Park for the pool. SSR is a lovely resort.

BCV requested Epcot view and loved it.

BWV any standard - although again love the water views.

VWL anything not looking at the service building or bus stop walkway.

AKV value or standard views loved them both!!! So far at AKV have not had a bad view.

will tell you about BLT shortly!

I used to request non-smoking, but I no longer have to. I've requested Grandstand or Congress Park at SSR depending on who's traveling with us. We're not really picky on our room location so I don't always put in a request.

We don't usually request anything, but occationally we just feel we MUST have building 45 or 46 at OKW, and then we request that. For December I have requested the Peninsular road buildings of HH catagory.

Typically we ask for a first floor room. It just make everything so much easier.

I have small children and will request an area that will make walking to a bus stop, quick service location easier.

I have only requested specific rooms/views twice.

Once when my daughter had broken her foot and was in a wheelchair - we were at BWV - loved the room they gave us - first floor, quiet, peaceful and right by one of the villa pools.

BCV - when the kids were teens asked for one overlooking the villa pool - we were able to hush them from the balcony  - we had some space they had some space worked great - it gave all of us a little time apart while still being together.:woohoo:

At the Boardwalk, if I am bringing older guests, I request being near the elevator.
(If I am bringing exuberant youngsters, I ask to be far away from the elevator, so they REALLY get tired on the way back to the room to go to bed! If that doesn't work I think of reasons to send them to the lobby a few times...like to mail postcards.... one.... at.... a.... time....) :thumbsup2

LOL, I thought I was the only one who ever requested far from elevator. I figure the exercise is a good thing and also, its usually quieter. The one request we always make is for upper floor, except at AKV Jambo house, since they're all upper floor rooms. So that's the only resort where I have never made requests.
For my next trip to BCV, I requested "either room [I don't even remember which room now] or similar view". It will be interesting to see what happens. I don't expect them to be able to meet my request of the specific room, but I hope for that general area.
