do you like your name?

Personally, I don't like my name. Jennifer. It was just WAY too common when I was in school. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a nice name. Just not for me. I think I might be the only person who likes their nickname better than their full name. Well except Jenny. I knew someone who only went by Jenny and on her it was beautiful. But I think its on me. I go by Jenn. Easy and simple.

For all those who could never find their name on anything, well neither could I! Mine was so popular when I was a kid, it was always sold out! So I feel your pain.

I hated my name growing up-Lauren. I don't mind it so much now. I haven't found too many people with the same name. In school I knew 1 other Lauren and she moved away in 4th grade.

My parents nicknamed me Kitty when I was a baby. Then I found out when I was 7 that my real name was Elizabeth. For the longest time I despised that name....it was too long and I could barely pronounce it!!

But now, I like Elizabeth but I'm so used to Kitty, I would still always rather be called that.

Yes, that where she got it from. She changed it a little because in The Sound of Music it's Liesl. It's also pronounced differently. Mine is lee-Sell and the other is Lee-zl. I'm still not fond of my first name but I actually like my middle name now!

I have always loved my first name...except that everyone wants to make it girlie - Janelle....ick. I am SO not girlie.

However, I NEVER use my middle name...so much so that it doesn't even seem like my name. I always have to check and make sure I spelled it right.

I love my name. Its my husband's that is hilarious. Jimmy Dean _____. yes...you read it right. It gets better. his brothers are Rodger Dale (Roy Rogers and Dale Evans), David Dwight and Johnny Glen. Can you make all the connections?

I love my name. Always thought it was beautiful and with my maiden name, it flowed so well. Not so with my married last name. I've been married 15 years and just 2 weeks ago the drs office asked me what my last name was and I gave them my maiden name. I don't know what I was thinking.

I love my name. It's an ethnic one, so I never found it on any of those souvenirs, either. The first time I remember going to Japan, I saw my name on a couple of keychains, and I was thrilled! Now, I kind of like not being able to find my name.

Thanks you! That's my 2 darling daughters and Ms. White. It was one of the best pictures I took the whole trip. Every other picture I took in CRT had too much light in back making everyone else look dark.

I have always liked mine, Kristy. All my life people have always asked me if that was my "real name" which it is. I get called Christina, Kristin and Christine all the time so i am used to that.
I have two daughters and they both don't like their names, Emerson and Allison. Hopefully when they get older they will appreciate them.
