I don't like mine. At least not the one we have now. I really loved my old one but they changed his route and the only street they took away from him was our street, so unfair!! I never had a problem with him, prompt, effecient etc. So today Mr. Postman knocks on door, I have ds 17 answer and sign for a certified letter etc. Later on little ds goes out to play and says, mom, the mailman didnt take your mail in the box? What!! I am so mad. It was a birthday card to a friend and now I am afraid it wont get there in time. I am writing her a little letter to explain what happened. Also when we go to Disney and put our mail on hold he never delivers it back on the day I request on the form, he gives us alot of mail for the same house number but its the next street over, you get the picture. Do you like your mail carrier? THey also said I could file a complaint a few times when I had to go pick up my held mail that was suppose to be delivered. I dont want to because I am afraid I will never get my mail. Out of retribution by him etc.

Yes, I like ours. He always rings our doorbell if I receive something that won't fit in our mailbox. He also will ring our bell when our income tax or state refund check comes.

Yes, ours is great. He also rings the bell if a package is too big for the mailbox and he always has treats for our dog. :)

She's awesome. We can always tell when she's on vacation.

Our UPS guys is also fantastic.

I tip them both at Christmas time.

he is fairly new and seems nice but i dont like getting my mail at 530 6pm everynight
i just got todays mail 10 min ago

I don't know mine. I work, he drives the little jeepy thing and sometimes I see a different one. So, I don't know him well enough to comment.

We have only been in our house for a couple of months and have had no problems with our service. Our mailbox is right next to the house so he does come up to the door to deliver it. He has, however, told the neighbors he is scared of our dog. Yes, he is a big dog, but he is never outside when the mailman shows up nor is he ever out unattended. :confused3

Heck, there is a pit bull down the street that sits guard in the front yard all day long. (Don't get me wrong, I like all dogs) I have seen the owner of this dog "playing" with it and the amount of aggression I see is not something I am comfortable with. So, I don't know if it is all dogs or just mine.

I had problems with our mail carrier too. Good gosh almighty! She continually brought us someone else's mail. Alot of my neighbors had to pass around each other's mail to get it to the right recepient. Once a bill didn't come on time and the company called us asking us to pay our bill! I explained my issues with the carrier (I'm sure they believed me:rolleyes:) and, told them the payment was in the mail. Also, the biggest issue that would p!ss me off was that, if she didn't have mail to deliver, then she wouldn't check our mail even if the flag was up. I called the post office and they said that she didn't have to check the mail if she didn't have any to deliver:eek:. I went online and found a statement to the fact that she should in fact take my mail and the number to file a complaint. I filed about 5 complaints by phone, took names, and wrote down the dates and what was said each time. Now, she doesn't pass up our box.

I say file a complaint. If he messes around with your mail to get "revenge" then he'll get in trouble.

Edited to add: I forgot the mail carrier suggested I get a P.O. box and all my mail would be picked up every day...as if I'm going to pay for a box because she's not doing her job:rotfl2:

We have the laziest postman.

When he is on vacation all of the mail for our area is delivered by 11 am, at the latest. It takes him until 4-5 pm to do it and I've caught him sticking a "we tried to deliver" sticker on my door, when he never rang the bell. He just fills the stickers out in his truck and sticks them on doors, so he doesn't have to carry the package around.

We have a terrific mail carrier that I believe has been the guy for our neighborhood since we moved here in 1986. If I see him around the neighborhood when I'm out walking I always wave and he greets me by name.

I like our letter carrier. He is very thoughtful and efficient.

Yep we have a hippie mail carrier. I swear to God he still thinks it's the 60's. He's a great guy though. Very efficient. Now his vacation replacement...ARGH!! I want to smack him.

We have a great mail person. Not only is she prompt and efficient, but she's a real nice lady. She's my best friend's mom
