I always thought I was only like this....I CAN NOT share my drinks...just grosses me out...YES...even with my kids or DH or my best friends!!! I am glad I am not alone!!!!!!!!!!!
What really grosses me out is to see a mom pop her baby's pacifier into her own mouth (usually when she is getting it out of the baby's mouth to dress him/her or whatever).
I do this. After all the kid sucked on my nipples for many a months. I have been known to pop the passie in my mouth to clean it off if there isn't any water handy.
We share all the time in this family, unless anyone is really sick. After all our germs pretty much get passed around anyway.
I agree with the PP who said something about once a kid comes out of you, you don't mind sharing. My youngest will backwash if she has food in her mouth so I will not give her any of my drink while she is eating.
I also don't mind sharing with my niece, other family and best friends.

I figured somebody would admit to this if I brought it up. I can't tell you why I think it's grosser than sharing a drink (which doesn't gross me out)--I guess it's the thought of the pacifier being encrusted with baby saliva. (yup, it's lucky I'm invisible to the tag fairy! ).
In the words of George Carlin we "live dangerously". I am not too worried about germs between family. It helps our immune system. That's why we all get sick about once a year and not many times throughout the year.
