DH and I share all the time--he rarely drinks soda so when we go to the movies or something, he and I will share a drink. DD, DH, and I share drinks and food all the time, as well.

Heck, I'll even share with my mom, my sister, my niece and my nephew, and my great-nephew and nieces. My nephew and I shared a Saki Bloody Mary last time we went to Benihana's. Ok, he had most of it, I just had a few sips. :rotfl2: He's 31, btw ,so don't freak out. I'm not contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

I'll share with anyone - family, friends...I've even shared ice cream with my dog from the same spoon.

I voted for other because I share sometimes but not very often. And one thing I really don't like to share is my DESSERT! Especially if it's chocolate!! HANDS OFF!

I share a drink with my kids and DH. No big deal! :)

Another sharer here. The kiss theory applies to us - if I can kiss you and not get skivved out, why should I get skivved by drinking a drink that you've had a taste from?

Proper cold and flu precautions apply, though. If either has a cold, we don't (try not to) share.

My best friend and I share everything!! He once took a lilloipop out of my both and licked and the gave it back. I don't see anything wrong with sharing utencils, drinks, ect. with a friend or my immediate family (as long as they arenot sick). I am a germaphobe whn it comes to doorknobs, ballet barres (used to dance and hated having to put my hand on that filthy thing), elevator buttons etc. and things that are actually a breeding ground for germs, but I know the mouth is actually not at all dirty compared to those other things. I buy purell by the dozens, lol.

With my wife - No problem
With my son - No problem
With my Daughter - problem - backwash central.
Usually if we are out, and we are all thirsty, my wife and I will drink first, then my son, and then we let my daughter finish off what's left. Nobody wants to drink after her.

I just can't stand sharing a drink with DH because he will drink it all. If we stop for lunch at a fastfood place he will try to order one large for us to share. If we do that then everytime I want a drink it will be empty and I either have to refill it or wait for him to refill. No thanks. I get my own.

I don't mind sharing with DH and kids, however, I can't share if it is milk. I don't know why :confused3 Ice cream and shakes are ok, just not a glass of milk.

As long as they are not sick (and I am not), I will share with DH, DS, and my sister. Friends and I have tasted each other's drinks before if we are out somewhere and someone got something unusual.

On occasion I unintentionally share a glass of water with my cat, she likes to sneak up and take a drink, and yes, I do continue to drink it.

:rotfl2: And here I thot I was all alone in this. I usually hold the drink till I am done eating and have my fill of drink then he gets whats left to chug...lol Yes I do leave him more then half. If not I only get to suck the ice cubes in the bottom of the cup. :)

I don't mind sharing my drink with someone in my family or a close friend.

Nope, doesn't bother me a bit. When DS found out that what DH and I had in our glasses was WAY better than what he was drinking (usually milk or water), he insisted on drinking out of our glass. In doing so, he trained himself to drink from an open cup without spilling (well..most of the time). Now at not-quite-three, he doesn't drink from a sippy unless we're in the car or he's having his bedtime milk. :)

I will share my drink with DH no problem but he is the only one! When I want to try someone else's drink I will turn the cup around and drink from the other side as them. Since it depends on who it is I voted other.

I voted other. If we're at home the answer is no. But if we're out in public and I have a bottle of water, then I let my kids share w/ me if and only if they don't have their own. If we're at the movies, I'll buy a large drink and everyone gets their own straw.

DH only, nobody else, EVER. Ewww.

What really grosses me out is to see a mom pop her baby's pacifier into her own mouth (usually when she is getting it out of the baby's mouth to dress him/her or whatever).:scared1:

Me, too, only it's not unintentional!! My furbaby won't drink from a bowl- he has to have a cup. I share with him all the time. He is actually a neater drinker than my DD- no backwash with the cat!:rotfl:
