Do you like the name of your street?

Of all the streets, drives, terraces and roads I've lived on, I like this one the best!

Mine is not anything to get excited about either, its just one letter.

Our street name bothers me - Mable Couch. I loved my last street name - Anne Marie Way. Mable Couch - I always have to spell it, hate that!

I'm not thrilled with my street name. It's named after car that I don't even like!!!

i live on browns neck rd before i moved here i lived on nancy ct

well, atleast you can decide if you like your name of your street or not!!! I just have a #--11th street!!! I guess that might be a good thing cause atleast I don't have to spell it for people!!:p

I don't mind the name itself but we have so many problems with our mail! Our street is "Smith" Drive, directly across from us is "Smith" Court. We have the same house number as a house in the court. I am over their house at least once a week bringing them mail that was misdelivered. Since our house was built first, and our mail deliverer is lazy, it seems we get all the wrong mail. I know more things about these neighbors than I care to know thanks to their mail! And, NO, I'm not opening the mail, the outer envelops and catalogues give it away ;) LOL

No name just a number. I would love a name for my street.

Mine is a very wintery name. Umm.... I live in the desert.

Ours is Spink Lane. We alwas get mail with it spelled as Stink Lane, which is kinda funny as the county landfill is at the end of the street.

Yes I do! It's the name of a beautiful flowering tree!

I loved the name of the street I grew up on ... Leopard Lane. The only thing is, we always got the mail for the same street number in the same neighborhood a couple streets over named Panther Road. ROTFLOL! Now I know panthers are black leopards, why was the mailman always mixing up mail at our addresses because of the Panther/ Leopard/big cat link?

There are two roads around here I love the names of and I would love to live on those roads because of the names! LOL! Cold Spring Creamery Road and Sugar Bottom Hill! I love the name of that road! Sugar Bottom Hill! :p  :p

This thread reminds me of a newspaper article I read about a town that has street names like "This Way" and "That Way." Can you imagine trying to give people directions in that town?:p

We once decided against buying a house because of the street name--it's prounced "skank".

When the builder went to have our street name registered, the city rejected his proposal because the name was too close to another street name and might be confusing to police, fire, etc. So he came up with a name on the spur of the moment - his daughter's name, a very common name. I'm glad I don't have to spell it for people, but I wish we had a name that matched the style of names in the rest of the neighborhood.

I wish my street was called "Millionaires Row"...

Our street name starts with two consonants that don't go togehter (not like "th".) People always want to put a vowel in between the first 2 letters. arrgh!

We always seem to end up on streets presumably named after the developers wife or daughter too.
I actually don't mind the one we're on now - it's better than Edna Street or Myrtle Way - both former addys.

Mine's just a number but I like the one I grew up on...Huguenot

I like the name of our street. We live in a historical district and all the streets running N/S are named in chronological order of the Presidents. Streets running E/W are numbered. Makes getting around quite easy! We live on a President street, so it's easy to spell and easy to remember.
