Do you like scented lotions?

I was having a discussion with some friends, and some stated they don't understand why someone would want to wear scented lotions. I love to wear them, and I also use scented shower gel. I prefer natural smells such as citrus or cucumber to perfumes (and I am allergic to most perfumes anyways), and I find them to be less overwhelming than perfumes.

Do you like scented gels and lotions? If not, does the smell of them on someone else bother you?

Not a big lotion user being a man but I do like the smell of suntan lotion - so anything that has that smell to it is my preference!

Love them but can't wear them. :guilty: All of a sudden about 2 years ago, I became allergic to just about everything and break out in hives.

I was thrilled when I tried Victoria's Secret eau de parfume in scents like pear becuase I can wear those.

I love them. Mostly the Cucumber ones are my favorite.

The real strong flowery ones I don't care for so much.

I love them. I like the old standby Juniper Breeze by Bath & Body Works. I hope they don't discontinue it--it's been moved WAY to the back of the store. It just smells very fresh and I get lots of compliments on it.

As I've gotten older, I don't really like wearing perfume anymore. So, I use lotion and shower gels instead--they're not so strong.

I really hate it when I get into an elevator with someone doused in perfume. Ick.

I don't like them for myself AT ALL. I cannot stand to have a scent on me, just bugs me. I can't say they bother me on other people--at least not scented lotions. I don't care for perfume though.

I've gone into Bath & Body Works and *some* of their lotions (the older fruity ones) smell absolutely hideous to me.

I love scented gels and lotions. I rarely wear perfume, but I use shower gel and lotion every day! My current favorite is White Tea and Ginger from B&BW. I alos love Coconut Lime Verbana.

I like scented lotions on others as long as they're not too strong and "perfume-y".

I enjoy wearing warm, sugary scents like vanilla, buttercream and chocolate frosting, myself. I like smelling as though I've just come fresh out of the oven. :)

I love them. As soon as I get out of the shower I put on Bath & Body Works lotion, more so in the winter months.

I like them, they smell so good, I also like to use scented bubble bath.

I try to buy unscented everything because of my allergies. They only bother me on other people if I can smell them from a foot away or more. I think it's fine to smell someone if you are hugging them, but can't for the life of me figure out why people would want me to smell them from afar.

The thing that really grosses me out is when I can smell people's deoderant, soap, and laundry detergent. It makes me shudder.

I'm not a big fan of scented lotion. They just don't seem to work as well. When my skin is dry, it's dry. I need something stronger.

Also, I haven't used bubble bath since I had to go to a urologist as a kid for repeat kidney infections. Turns out Mr. Bubble was the culprit. I was using it on the weekends at my aunt's house and my mom didn't know it.

I like scented bath items (gels, bombs, bubble bath), but I don't care for scented lotions. I agree with the poster that said they don't seem strong enough for dry skin.
