I have heard mixed reviews of O'Hana for dinner... has anyone been lately? We have a 7pm ADR for our 9/08 stay. Do they still have the coconut rolling and limbo for the kids? What is the dessert now?

We absolutely love Ohana! It is our favorite. The last time we were there was June 2007 and it was excellent. They did the coconut races for the kids and some other things with them too. The meat was the best, the wings were delicious, and the desert was fabulous. I think they did change the scalloped potatoes to some kind of noodles and I haven't heard any reviews on them yet. We have adr's for Ohana for our October trip. It is a must for us every time we come to Disney.princess:

we've had dinner there years ago and enjoyed it - of course, that was back when they had shrimp potstickers and the pineapple with caramel sauce - sure do miss them....

We LOVE Ohana's! This past February 2008 we ate there and it was soooooo good! Totally worth the money. Yes, they did the coconut race around the restaurant for the kids. It was so cute! They have this delicious bread pudding for dessert too. It is all warm with vanilla ice cream on top and then the server pours warm caramel sauce all over it. What's not to love about that?? We're eating there again when we go back in November! :goodvibes

My family had dinner at 'Ohana just a few days ago and it was delicious! We all enjoyed the food and didn't miss the potatoes at all.

I'm thinking about skipping the meats next time in order to have extra room for the appetizers and massive amounts of the bread pudding. That stuff was amazing!

we went 2 weeks ago... We really wanted to try it because of the interaction for the kids and the food. Well, interaction was great, food. .. I really wasn't impressed. They wasted so much, as well.

DS 6 had grilled cheese and the baby had some of his grilled cheese. The amount of food that they brought out would have feed the 4 of us and then a few.

I liked the salad, the pork wontons and the desert...loved the banana's foster bread pudding!! But the brocolli/snap peas were bland, the meats were dry..the shrimp had to be pealed, not fun when it's in a sauce. I didn't even try the noodles. I was going to but hubby said I would not like them and they were pasty.

Another thing, they wouldn't let me take DS' grilled cheese with us. I understand it's a family style restaraunt, but his grilled cheese was plated. He really didn't eat too much of it because of all the things that he was doing, coconut race, limbo. And other DS was ready to go, so it's not like we could have stuck around. Oh well, good thing for snack credits!!

The last two times we had dined there we felt very, very rushed. The food was fine but they seemed in a hurry to get us out of there.

The food was good, but we had horrible service - we were ignored the entire night. It took over 30 minutes from the time we got our dessert until we received our check, and then another 10 before we got our receipt back (and we were paying using our KTTW - it should have been simple). The entire process was just exhausing, and dinner while on vacation should *not* make you feel that way. :sad2:

i LOVED the semi spicy shrimp. I ate SOOO many it was almost embarrassing. In my defense i did skip dessert. So yes i loved it and look forward to it again in Sept.

We just ate there this past Saturday and have to say it was our favorite of the week. The desert was to die for! It's an awesome feast - make sure you go hungry!

Its a MUST for us each trip! This year we are starting our trip off there the first night!

OK.. I do not like Bread pudding... I know I am strange, but will they let me sub it for something else?
