Do you like O'Hana for dinner?

OK.. I do not like Bread pudding... I know I am strange, but will they let me sub it for something else?

I usually hate bread pudding but this stuff was devine I don't think they have any other desserts but possibly you could ask for plain vanilla ice cream without the bread pudding? (it usually comes on top)

The last two times we had dined there we felt very, very rushed. The food was fine but they seemed in a hurry to get us out of there.

I agree. We love 'Ohana (foot & atmosphere) but we felt totally rushed on our last visit. We had two servers who seemed to work as a tag team. They were extremely nice and friendly but the food came fast & furious leaving us very little time to enjoy each course. I didn't know which end was up! We'll be back because it's a tradition but I don't love it as much as I once did.

That said, I think anything is worth trying once!

We were at OHana on May 1st and enjoyed our meal as always -- this was probably our 5th trip there. Although we still enjoyed the meal immensely, we greatly missed the wonton chips and the cheesy potatoes. The substitues were just ok and nothing amazing. The server said it was due to the trans fat issue they are dealing with and making adjustments to be more "healthy". The bread pudding was still wonderful!! Hopefully, they will bring some of the other choices back. But we would still highly recommend the restaurant.

I have heard mixed reviews of O'Hana for dinner... has anyone been lately...

This place will continue to get mixed reviews since service and food are not consistently provided and the kid gimmicks are one of the constants at Ohana.

We went recently and wish Ohana was more authentic like it was around 10 years ago...along with better service. Serving food with different origins other than polynesian, cutting corners in presenting the menu and food choices, dropping(throwing) food dishes onto the customers table, disappearing waitress and meats items not ready to serve until you are ready for dessert...appears to be todays standards. Ohana is more mainstream now than ever before to accommodate DDP guest expectations. I would note the roundtable review performed by staff members of this site still remains very accurate.

For our upcoming trip (September) we have ADR's here and the only time open was 8:25 PM.

We heard from a friend that you can see fireworks from there. Is this true?

I figure by the time we are seated, served, eat, have dessert, and so on... it would be the appropriate time for the fireworks, what I did not know is if theere truly is a good view or not.

I haven't been there in three years, but not because I haven't enjoyed it, it's been more of a convenience issue in my recent trips. But I have always enjoyed my dinners there.

We totally loved Ohana. We went two years ago just after the menu had been changed to include the wonton chips with sauces and the potatoes. I must admit that we missed the original wontons and thought the chips were not a great substitute. In addition, our DD (age 1 at the time) is allergic to peanuts. When we got there, I informed our server of her allergy. He informed the chef and the chef actually came to the table to explain what was in each dish. I was impressed with this service, and we enjoyed watching Wishes from the restaurant. All in all, it is a great place to eat. In fact, we have an ADR for the first week of June, and we can't wait!

We ate there Sunday night. We had reservations for 8:45. Got seated at 8:30 at a window table and saw the fireworks. It was fabulous. Be sure to ask for a seat where you will be able to see the fireworks.

We tried it once and did not think it lived up to the hype. If we want to eat at a buffet we will go to Boma.
