Do You Like Hot Chocolate/Cocoa?

I love chocolate and really like hot chocolate, but the problem I have run into is that most hot chocolate brands are not chocolatey enough for me. I like my chocolate RICH. A friend gave us the Williams-Sonoma brand which is little choclate shavings that you melt in a pot of hot milk and even that wasn't chocolatey enough. i had to put in three times the directed amount just to make it passable. Star Bucks is pretty good.

I had the absolute best hot chocolate over Christmas in New Orleans. It is from the candy/pastry shop Sucre (the chef/owner has been featured on Food Network). It is called Drinking Chocolate - oh my - it is really hot CHOCOLATE.

I got this tin of Trader Joe's Sipping Chocolate for Christmas and OMG, it's like drinking liquid velvety chocolate sunshine! I don't think I'll go back to watery Swiss Miss kind any more.

The best I've had (packaged) is the Land'O'Lakes Irish Creme kind.....verrry good.

But usually I'll drink the usual Swiss Miss with mini marshmallows

I usually drink the Swiss Miss with marshmellows. I heat up a mug of milk, add a packet of Swiss Miss, a splash (or two) EACH of Kahlua and creme de menthe.

We have a hot chocolate machine called a "Cocoa- Motion." When I bought it DH thought it would be another contraption that would collect dust and take up cabinet space. He was dead wrong. We love our Cocoa Motion and make hot chocolate in it frequently using milk, cocoa, sugar and vanilla. Just dump in all the ingredients and the machine heats and mixes it to a hot frothy drink. It's hard to drink the packaged stuff now.

I love hot chocolate. It is my go to "hot" drink in the winter. My favorite is plain hot chocolate with a splash of Irish Cream Creamer in it so yummy. I also love to mix in a packet of hot chocolate with a cup of coffee, so good on a cold winter morning.

I use to like hot cocoa. Then I had a cup of some VERY fancy stuff at a little cafe once. It was like drinking liquid chocolate...very thick and creamy....I was in HEAVEN!!! Ever since I just can't drink the packaged kind. Its too "thin" and watery tasting even when I don't add much water. I have not been able to find a place or anything comparable to that one magical cup since, so I just don't drink the stuff anymore

My family LOVES hot chocolate. Our favorite brand is Stevens. We love the orange cream, the chocolate raspberry, mint truffle, and candy cane flavors. Their dark chocolate flavor is amazing, as well.

I really wanted the hot cocoa machine for Christmas, but by the time DH got around to shopping for me, they were gone from our tiny town. I'm going to show him the amazon link, since my birthday is in 2 weeks. Maybe he'll get the hint!

Yum!! We're big fans of that here in the winter and during the fall at the lake.. We're also lazy and use Swiss Miss, but I have to have the BIG marshmallows in mine.. None of those "mini" things..
