That walk from VWL to TE is at LEAST a mile, and on an essentially unlit path, so you may want to consider taking the boat.

Even when we stay at other resorts we head over to TE for breakfast at least once. We love the buffet.

I guess I'll be the one to register a vote AGAINST Trails End (I apologize if I missed someone elses no vote). Our very first time to stay at the Fort we had dine-in dinner, dine-in breakfast and take out buffett (in that order). The first time we were very unimpressed and really felt like it was a rip off (even by Disney dining standards). But, we decided to give it another try for breakfast a few days later. Same thing. Finally, n our last night we realized we had pretty much run out of food and decided to try the take out. Same exact thing. From that point on we decided never to go back -- except for the free mug refills.

We totally agree with you. It seems like the quality and variety of food has decreased over the years. We use to love going to Trails End but lately we have not been impressed with the food. It's a shame, especially since they are so convenient for us campers.

We love the breakfast there. We have a tradition to eat breakfast there on check-out day. It really fortifies us for that 45 minute drive home

The last couple of times we've gone the wait times have been long so we've started making ADR's. Didn't really help much on Sunday, though. The walk-ups in front of us were told a 20-40 minute wait and we were told the same thing. It was at least a 30 minute wait, too.

trailsend buffet is by far one of the best values in dw and you can use your dis.din.card ,even for take out

We ate dinner there once in dec. 2004 and didn't think it was anything spectacular. The ribs were fatty, and there were no mashed potatoes!!! What kind of buffet doesnt have mashed potatoes!!! There were hardly any desserts there either which my husband and kids were looking forward too. It wasn't awful but definatly wont go back.

We love Trails End. Our family tradition is to eat dinner the first night and breakfast the last moring(campingcorgi we also eat to make the long 45 min drive home) We also enjoy the wait staff they always help add to our happy Disney memories.We also eat there on Chrstmas day they add things but also increase the price.

We usually eat dinner there the first day also...we're so tired from setting up, we just go there and have a nice dinner. We love having breakfast there too!
