Do you like Carrabba's Italian Grill?

It's great! I love the bread w/ olive oil & spices, Chicken Gratella & the sausage/lentil soup. The dress is casual. When one opened up about 25 minutes from us the wait was 1 hour 45 minutes, I'd wait for the "newness" to wear off. We went about a month ago around 5:00 and the wait was already 45 minutes.

I love this place! We used to go there all the time when we lived in NC. We moved to NH and just recently they opened one about 40 minutes away!
I love the chicken dish that is stuffed with proscuitto and cheese. oh to die for!

Oh and if you have the tiramasu, make sure you have a designated driver! LOL

went to the website..here's the dish

Pollo Rosa Maria
Fire-roasted chicken breast stuffed with fontina cheese and prosciutto, topped with mushrooms and a basil lemon butter sauce

Are you talking about the one that is in Bedford... sort of in the Macy's parking lot?? You must live in my area! And glad to hear some talk about that restaurant.... wanted to try it but hadn't heard anything about it!..................P

There is one where we live, but I have never tried. it. Maybe we'll go this weekend...

I am hoping to go there for Mother's Day.

I'm with you but you'd better get there early (they open at 11:00 on mother's day) or use call ahead seating. We were there last year on mother's day and had a two hour wait.

They sometimes have a special: Pork Chops Marsala. If you think the chicken marsala is good (and I agree that it is), you should definitely try the pork if you see it on the menu. It is just scrumptious. Mmmmm.

Olive Garden is not bad; I'll eat there sometimes but Carrabba's is definitely a cut above. And in answer to the poster who asked about dress code, it's casual.

One just opened up near us. Funny me, I had no idea it was a chain (never heard of it). We will have to check it out. We love Olive Garden...and Macaroni Grill too.

yep! Thats the one! Call ahead tho and be put on the list....its much easier that way. I wish they were open for lunch :(

Where in NH are you??

Oh my gosh, I can't believe some of you have listed Olive Garden in the same sentence as Carrabas (or Macaroni Grill!) Being Italian, trust me, Olive Garden is like Taco Bell is to Mexican food! Carrabas is wonderful! I don't know if I like it better than Macaroni Grill but it's wonderful all the same. I love the Eggplant Parmigiana. I'll have to try the Chicken Marsala though from all the raves it's gotten on this thread!

We stumbled across one in Knoxville once on our drive home from FL & we liked the food very much. They just opened one within walking distance of our home & we've yet to eat there (since the wait has been too long!)

I can't wait to eat there again!

This is one of our special occasion places. Add me to the chicken marsala list!

DH usually gets a trio of chicken dishes which is sometimes listed as a special. They'll make it even if it's not on the menu, though. It's actually half of each of three chicken dishes: the marsala, the Pollo Rosa Maria, and one other (I think Chicken Bryan?).

We love the mashed potatoes and the Caesar salad.

10yo DD is a mostly-vegetarian, and is able to find things she likes there, too. (Vegetarians beware: the Caesar salad dressing has anchovies in it.)

I'm in the minority here but i think it's "okay" and a little pricey for what you get. It is on the same plane as olive garden and macaroni grill (at least ours is) and the prices are higher

I enjoy Macaroni Grill a lot better

"it just don't impress me much" lol

Exactly..... in Weare (pronounced 'where').... ..........P

There is a Carraba's near me as well. It always looks packed, but I haven't gone.

It smells good as I drive by though.

We ate there on Superbowl Sunday, it was OK. We haven't been back, might someday, but not rushing to get there.

Delicious is best I can describe it. I'd plan on heavy crowds there for at least a few months.

Any low carb selections? DH is "living the low carb lifestyle" and has been for almost 18 months..... until last week I was going through heavy Olive Garden withdrawal (until DD won in the Science Fair and picked OG as her reward dinner!). ............P

YES! I absolutely love that place. Its my fave. restaurant!! :bounce: :bounce:
I always get the Spiedino di Mare! YUMMY!!!!
