Do you leave your laptop with bell services?

Add us to the list of people who have never had a problem. We've stored multiple laptops with Bell Services and have never had an issue.

I left my DD laptop with bell services and it was fine...im using it now and it's an entire year later...

My DH got me a laptop for Christmas and I'd love to take it to WDW next week. If my room is not ready and I decide to leave my luggage and go to a park, do I leave the laptop with bell services?

Just tell them that it is laptop and there is a little cage in the luggage area that they lock it in.

We have always left our laptop with Bell services......never had a problem.

We have left it with bell services BUT I have a large bag that the smaller laptop bag fits in so it doesnt look like a laptop bag. I also have small locks that I use to lock down each zippered compartment.

We've checked ours without any issues. I also don't worry about leaving them out in the room.

As someone else mentioned, there are locked cages available. I take it out of the suitcase and have them store it in the locked cage--they give you a separate receipt.

Yep! We actually just left the laptop in hubby's laptop-backpack.

Thanks for the info, I will make the request to have it stored in the locked cage.
I feel kind of silly for being so worried I've never traveled with a laptop before.

Don't feel silly. Just tell them that one of the bags is a laptop and it's easy.

Yes. They have always taken good care of our stuff. It is a bit unnerving the first time but it has always worked out. Besides, do you feel like carrying that thing around a park all day? Not me. Remember to take care of the bell staff that takes care of your valuables.

I've left laptops, cameras, video cameras and my purse with bell services. Never a problem.

We've left the laptop and other electronics with bell services many times. I just put it in the same bag as my medications and tell the bell person that bag needs to be in secure storage. Never had a problem.

I would argue that with the price of laptops dropping ($500-$1000) so much they are not worth it to steal. Some nice bags cost more than the laptops.

The resale market for laptops has dropped about as much as DVC.....:scared1:
