Do you leave stuff in your stroller...?

Hi. Just wondering if people leave items in a bag in or under their stroller while seeing attractions at the park. Our last visit, I always carried phone/camera/kttw/$ separately and took those with me, but ponchos, snacks, sunscreen, etc. I always left behind at the stroller. Any thoughts? What do you do?

In the past we've had a diaper bag with us so we'd put things in there and yes, we'd leave it in the stroller. However...we also had to do a child swap on most rides so our stuff was never truly left out alone. Sorry.

This trip though...we won't have a diaper bag and kids are big enough to ride most rides , yet we'll have a stroller *just in case*. I'd guess we'd leave things in the stroller (which is one of our own - NOT rented from the park) on certain rides if needed. Our camera is rather large and I can't imagine trying to lug a bunch of stuff onto rides.

We plan on bringing our stroller with us everywhere on our upcoming trip.

Valuables like phones, cameras and KTTW cards will be kept on us at all times.

Backpacks will be left at the stroller...I'm not bothered in the least by the chance of having the items stolen...anyone who is desperate to steal a stroller, backpack that has our last name on it, and a few things from the dollar store is pretty bad and they certainly need it more than we do...

When we rented strollers, I never left anything in them. We only had a child in diapers on one trip, and the fanny pack I used was big enough to carry a diaper, wipes, and a changing pad. We had extras in the car if we really needed them. I don't carry a heck of a lot around the parks, and it all fits in a mini backpack, which fits on all of the attractions I go on.

The little I do bring with me would be a pain in the neck AND expensive to replace at WDW, so I keep it with me.

Everytime we have gone I have used a stroller and left everything in it. I do not leave valuables but have left ponchos, autograph books, extra clothes and such and yes a time or two we have even left our camera (by accident of course):rolleyes1 but fortunetly we have never had any problems.

We have done exactly what you do and have not had any problems. We have a small bag that I carry our valuables in and we leave the rest in our stroller.

I left everything but my valuables like camera, cell, money, etc in the stroller. If someone really wanted our snacks, rain poncho's, umbrellas, and my stroller they must need it worse than me.

On our last trip we had 2 stollers and left both of them with our belongings - nothing of value - and had no problems. We had a small cooler and diaper bag that we left behind on rides, etc. I will tell you that one tip I did not know about before going was a cover for the stollers. We were eating dinner one evening when a rain shower popped up. I quickly made sure my purse and cameras were with us. I relaxed for a minute before I remembered the autograph book. I ran so fast out to our stollers! I saved it with just minimal, if even noticable damage!

I read this a few years back and while kind of gross I think in guarantees no one will touch your stroller or anything in it.

Get a clear plastic bag that can be tied on the handle. Take a diaper and pour cola into it to saturate. Put the diaper in the bag and attach to handle.

LOL!! I heard that tip too! :) The last time we went we did leave a diaper bag in the stroller and had no problems. We did have our own stroller though, not a rental. I dunno if that had any effect on it or not.

I've left non-valuables in bottom of stroller every visit - diapers, wipes, sweaters, etc, with no problem. I had them in zip-lock bags so they were easy to repack into back-pack when folding stroller. I have left the park with the wrong stroller however (same model) so I recommend a bright luggage tag or label!

We have never had any thing taken out of a stroller, (we do use backpacks ), but we come out after lunch at MK and watched a woman try to take our stroller! When I asked her what she thought she was doing, her reply " I no speek egnlish " and then left with her 3 small kids and no stroller.

A great rule of thumb for anywhere, not just Disney - If you don't want it taken, take it with you.

We keep an inexpensive stroller bag attached to the back of our stroller. It holds a couple of diapers, wipes, disposable changing pads, a sippy cup, snack cup & a lightweight blanket. On rainy days, we keep a couple of ponchos in a plastic bag in the bottom of our stroller. We have extra of the baby items in our backpack which we take on rides with us and I carry a very small messenger-style bag which holds our tix, camera, meds & cellphone.

I have several young cousins, and though they haven't been to WDW with us, we have taken them to a few local "theme parks", including Six Flags New England. This is our philosophy as well. We take the valuables like the camera, money, and phone, but if somebody needs a diaper so badly that they need to steal it, well, in my opinion, they can have it!

We're headed down this week! :cool1: I was going to use a backpack for all of the baby's supplies and leave in on the stroller then take a smaller bag for the camera and my wallet and take it on the rides with me. The risk of loosing a change of clothes and a few diapers isn't worth the inconvenience of lugging a backpack on every ride.

We just got back at the beginning of April and we always left our stuff in the stroller, except for the money. I did leave cell phone and camera in there many times I just put them in the diaper bag, there is stroller parking and I always saw at least one CM working those areas so I always trusted that they would not allow people to just walk around going through bags, with that said though do not be alarmed if your stroller is not exactly where you left it, the CM's will move them to condense them and fill in gaps after others leave.
Hope this helps!

While someone going through multiple bags would be suspicious, I think a true thief would tend to pick one stroller from the crowd and go through the bag on that stroller. The CM's don't know who owns which stroller, so someone looking through a bag on one stroller would not look out of the ordinary to them. People forget or need things and return to their strollers all of the time so again, not out of the ordinary.

There are occasional posts from visitors who have had things stolen from their strollers, including their strollers. It's rare, but it does happen.
