Do you keep something strange in your car??

In my current car I have two parking stubs from seeing Keith Urban. I just don't have the heart to take them out. No rational reason why. :confused3

Every car I've owned there just seems to be something that gets placed in there that I don't have the heart to take out.

A ripped spare tire cover. I just haven't gotten around to throwing it out yet.

I have bug spray in my glove box. My kids get bit all to heck at dusk, and we're not always home and inside. I've gotten some strange looks when people go in there to get tissues. I also have a pull up for each of my kids in their seat organizers, just in case we are out so late that they are likely to fall asleep on the way home from something and I don't know if they'll wake up to go potty when we get home. They are fully potty trained (3 and 5) but if they don't go RIGHT before they go to sleep I can't count on them waking up in the night.

For my college graduation my mom sent me Nemo with a diploma and cap, so I have him in my window. One day while going through security and DH and I were chosen for the "security check" thing the guard goes, "we found NEMO (har har har)"

I keep a brush in my car. I don't know if that is strange though.

Not in my current car but in the last car I had I kept a couple Star Wars toys I got from McDonald's in my glove compartment. One was a Yoda head that appeared to be floating in a box (with the use of mirrors). The other was this weird puzzle thing made up of various sized boxes which folded up in different combinations to produce different pictures (confusing, I know, I just don't know how else to describe it). There were various scenes from Star Wars on the different surfaces. Even though the pictures were fading and peeling, I just couldn't throw these toys away!

For reaching the things the kids drop - can't live without it!!! ;)

I used to have a collection of ticket stubs and receipts and stuff that I believed were safest in my car. Then I got my new Volvo, so all that, well, garbage gets stored in my purse now for safe keeping. :teeth:

I do, however, have a box of sandwich bags. My friend and I go to the movies every Tuesday night, and we always stop at Target to buy candy instead of going broke at the theater. We buy our bags of candy, then transfer them to baggies for each of us on the way to the movies.

We're so frugal. :)

Plus, you never know when a baggie could come in handy - they're dead useful!!

I have the directions on how to get to my Grandma's hospital room on a post it note. She passed away in April. I just can't throw it away.

Tampons. You just never know. It drives my dh nuts though, he hates riding around with those things in the car!

:rotfl2: My DH is the same way. He wants that stuff outta sight!

The strangest thing i carry in my car is a small collection of empty CD cases. Christian likes to chew on them while he's riding. :rotfl: He's not particular--he'll take AC/DC as soon as Andrew Lloyd Weber.

I just have to laugh at this thread! The weirdest thing I have in my car right now is a small deodorant in my glove box. You never know when you may be stinky and want to slap on some Degree!!!

This also reminds me:
I am the ultimate pack rat and in my old car, I would put stuff in there and forget to take it out (or else just be too lazy). So one day while I was in college, my dad was helping me clean out my car and he made the mistake of opening the trunk. There he found some Halloween decorations, some Christmas stuff, and some easter decorations. He shakes his head and says, "It's like the Four Seasons in here." For some reason, that just cracked us up! So now, years later when I go to visit them, my mom will ask if my car is clean or looking like the four seasons.

don't ask me why, cause I don't really know why, BUT we always have a pack of matches in the glove box of each of our cars.. :confused3 and neither one of us smoke so...
