Do you keep more than 1 chopping board?

I'm using 2 chopping boards, one wide, thick, wooden chopping board for vegetables and fruits and one rubber-like chopping board for meat.

Yes, I have two. One for meats only and one for fruits and veg.

Apparently, I have a lot of chopping boards. :lmao: I have one big plastic one that is used for raw meat. One large wooden one for vegetables. Then I have about 4 small wooden ones that I use when I just need to slice some cheese or cut one onion--basically for a small job. Then I have two more random large wooden cutting boards that I believe must have been DH's before we moved in together.

I have three or four, at least. None are specifically for meats or vegetables, but having more than one lets me (for example) cut the meat and start it cooking while I then chop the veggies on another board. Once done, into the dishwasher they go.

Yes...we have two sets. One white set of three various sizes for meats and a red & yellow set for everything else.

I have two right now and since they go right in the dishwasher I don't care what goes on them. I also have a wooden one I use for bread only. When I lived in a house with no dishwasher I kept them separate.

I've got about ten of them in varying sizes. I don't handwash anything that I can help and all of them go in the dishwasher. There are times when all of them are in there. I guess I chop a lot.

I have a small one and a medium sized one.

The other big one that we have is a wooden one that an uncle made about 22 years ago for us that sits in the countertop. Unfortunately, it's where the dish drainer sits, so it's now warped and pretty unusable. :(

I have 3 right now; A wooden one for fruits & veggies, a plastic one for raw meat and one that is made out of my counter top material for quick jobs like cutting bread or cheese. Everyone has to cut the cheese occasionally!

Just one chopping board at a time, for me!

It sits behind the sink. Eventually it gets too chewed up, and then I throw it out and replace it with a new one.

Haven't poisoned my family yet. :thumbsup2

Sure do.

One for raw meats, one for cooked, one for veggies/fruit etc

But I run hotels for a living, so food safety is drilled in our heads from early on :)

I have a few of them.

I have one large non porous on that I use for everything. I have another small one of those for picnics.

I have a giant butcher block type that is just more for decoration. I almost never use it but during the holidays it's a seperate work surface if I have help in the kitchen.

I have 2 or 3 more small ones for serving cheese and meats.

I have 4! A giant plastic one that only comes out for "special occaisions" :lmao: (ie. when I'm cooking so much freaking food that I need the big guns). A plastic one for meat. A big wooden one for veggies and bread. And a beautiful checkerboard patterned wooden one from Estonia that we got as a wedding gift that lives on the counter for when I just need to quickly slice a piece of fruit or a bagel in the morning.

I prefer wooden boards, but I like that I can throw the plastic meat cutting board in the dishwasher to quickly take care of it.

We're vegetarian so we don't have to worry about the food poisoning cross contamination stuff, but I still have 3. Well, 4, but I hate the 4th...stepmom bought me this bizarre glass one shaped like a bell pepper...said she had one herself, but I've never seen her use it! Anyway, one I bought myself, the other was a wedding present, and the third was a little gift-with-lease that the apartment management put in our previous apartment.

Lots...love them.

Bread slice shaped one, Large thick rectangle, cow shaped, pig shaped and Mickey head shaped......DH made all those.
Some plastic one for when I am alone for my chicken.
4 scattered Mickey flexible plastic ones....haven't used them yet.
One large butcher block type one.

the large one, pig one and small plastic are for meat.
Rest for everything else.

I have 4. I have a big one I use to roll out pizza dough, make pasta, cut out cookies, etc. It takes up most of the top shelf of my dishwasher. I also have three smaller ones. One is a thin, cheap plastic one. The other two are plastic but made of the same heavy duty plastic that the large one is made from. Everything goes in the dishwasher so I don't use one just for meat, vegetables, etc.

I love my chopping boards! I have had a 3 pak of white boards that I got at Costco many years ago. They're constantly being used, and in the dishwasher. I got a different 3 pak for Christmas that are marked "fish" "meats" & "produce". I just bought a pair of mini ones - one has a lemon on it and one has a lime on it. Haven't used them yet.

I probably have 6. One pretty big one, a couple of smaller ones and 2 or 3 really little ones, good for doing a lemon, or lime.

3-all are plastic.

1 smaller sized for smaller jobs. 1 large with a kind of resivoir around the edge (great for slicing cooked meats so the counter does'nt get the juices on it). 1 large flexible (great for cutting items that get poured into soups, sauces...).

for REALY small jobs (like just one tomato or a few slices of cucumbers) i just pull out one of the lids to one of the rubbermade plastic containers. works fine, takes up minimal space in the dishwasher.
