Do you have Virgin flyer points? Florida £291 Easter Hols

Just booked some flights to Florida fom Manchester next Easter Weekend for 2 weeks. Used 2000 frequent flyer points each paid £875 for 3 of us price without points is over £1,500.
I think the price is same for Good Friday, Sat and Sun but you will have to check.
Not checked London but should be similar price.

Just checked London only seems to be available on Easter Sun or after for a pound or 2 cheaper.
Children on this deal cost about £227.

Is it only for easter ~ we can only go in the 6 week hols due to DS swimming commitments and we have tons of frequent flyer points. Do you need to phone to book this or can it be done online. Thanks

Is it this Summer you are wanting or next? Summer 2007 won't be on sale until 11 months before your return date.
This summer some dates are still available. You can search manually on their site which is how I do it or you can ring them which is the way my Brother does it, he says they are very helpful and will find the best price for you.
A quick search for example this Aug 9th-21st from London would cost you 2000 points/ person plus £470.40/adult and £334.40/child
Compare that with same dates on Expedia £815.10 Ad + £652.10 Ch. Its almost half price.
If you have loads and loads of miles you can get free flights in exchange for 50,000 points. Seems a lot to me when you can get nearly half price for 2000.
Bear in mind you dont get any more points added to your account for flights booked with points.

Thanks so much for posting. Have been checking prices for our April/May 2007 trip the last few days and it was coming in around £1850 for 2 adults, 2 children.

Have just managed to make the same booking with miles plus money for....£1,033

Also just checked out the current 5 day sale Virgin are running and am seriously tempted by the prospect of using the money we've savied on a trip in November

I am hoping to get some miles and money fares for september 2007, and seeings i can still get them for september this year i hope it won't be a problem. With regards not getting any miles when you book these fares, we are not frequent flyers (other than in club membership) so are never going to build up a huge balance of points so we might as well use them to get some cheaper flights. Both DH and I have over 8000 miles each so thats our hols for 2 years sorted, (2 ad, 2ch)then in the 3rd year we either need to take a qualifying flight to gain some more miles, or cheaper still buy another 8000 miles which comes in at about £160

It will probably be about the last time we can do a spur of the moment trip for quite a few years. Ryan starts school next September, so we'll have to be a lot more reliant on term times

I love it when people save money. Even better when they spend it on another trip to Florida.
I have done well on all our trips coming up which are all in school hols. Aug £319, Xmas £499 (a bit OTT), Easter £291 and this Oct to California £375.
3 weeks and 2 days to see Mickey again.
