Do you have to connect tickets to room on disney property?

We have a 4 night reservation on property at disney, it's already paid for. I need to buy 3 tickets for myself and 2 teenagers. We are not 100% sure which 2 children are coming. If I buy the tickets from Undercover Tourist can we just activate the tickets when we get there and not attach them to the room? When I check in, will the resort give me 3 cards to get in and out of the room. If I get tickets from Undercover tourist, how will I activate them?

You don’t link them directly to the room. You link them to the individual people in your MDE account. You can wait until you know who’s coming before you link the tickets to the people and the people to the room.

The tickets from UT will have a number that you put into your MDE and link each ticket to the correct person.

When you check into the resort, the front desk will give you Key to the World cards for each person. The card will be the room key and also their ticket to enter the parks, LLs, etc. They can also use it to charge food and merchandise to the room, if you give them a PIN.

ETA you set the PIN when you check in, either online or in person.
