I booked the Sleigh Ride at the Wilderness Lodge for our first night and did not tell my husband or son. I have been dying to read any reports about it. I am so excited!!

I once surprised my family with an Illuminations Cruise our first night in WDW. It was great fun!

Just like you, dvcfamily, I have booked the sleigh ride without telling anyone. I booked it for Christmas night, and Santa will be brining our "tickets" to DH & DSs that morning when we wake up. I hate keeping surprises!!!!

We have a dear friend joining us this year and the group we are going with is going to surprise him with a Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings. We are staying at the BCVs and our friends are at the FW cabins. We ordered a turkey dinner with all the trimmings from Publix. We will pick it up on Saturday, Dec 13, and have a family style dinner at the cabin. During dinner we will be watching "A Christmas Story" and we plan to have a "special delivery" made to the cabin.... a LEG LAMP from the movie for him (his fav movie). Got to love e-bay...found it there!!!

We plan on decorating his villa with a christmas tree and all the trimmings during the afternoon when he is out running.

This will be one special Chirstmas...so don't anyone TELL!

Well, it may be 2 years away, :( but I'm planning a half day at the spa for DH and I. Some type of facial or body treatment and the lavender bath in the whirlpool bath!! :teeth:
After that, we'll go have an early dinner at BOMA and visit with the wonderful artist Bushman #1! :sunny:

Whole trip is going to be a surprise for DS7. At first I was going to have it be one of his Christmas presents from Santa. But since I have decided to have a scavenger hunt for him on his birthday (1/5). We leave 1/6! I have booked CP for a birthday dinner! It has been SO hard for me and DGM to keep our mouths shut! We've never done a character meal, so this will be so much fun!! Can't wait. . .can't wait. . .can't wait. . .can't wait. . .can't wait:earsgirl:

I have something planned, but if I told then someone else would know ;) ;)

David

I love secrets!!! I'm planning a special dinner for my partner David the second night we get there in March. We'll be eating at the California Grill and hopefully I can plan it right so that we're there during "Wishes"!!! This is David's first time to WDW, so I want it to be a very special week.:earsboy: I'm hoping he'll catch the Disney bug like I have!

On our last night (Dec. 17) I am taking my mom on the Illuminations cruise as a surprise. I hope she enjoys it!

 cast: DH, DS22, DD's 14 &13, DD & DSiL and their DS4.5, DD's 2.5 & 18mons & me

We are doing the Ice Cream Social at Epcot and have requested the re-hitching ceremony to surprise our DD & DSiL (they celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary this year and their 4th baby due in Jan 04). That same evening (12/10) I also booked the sleigh ride for them. Surprise! We'll keep the kiddies for a half hour :love1:

Our DS is active duty in the AF and he will be meeting us @ WDW so we can all celebrate Christmas. He has never been at this time of year (he's hardly been at all) and we are surprising him & the little ones with MVMCP. Surprise! Party!

For our younger girls 14 & 13, we are surprising them with a trip to Disney Quest (they've always wanted to go). And for all,if the weather cooperates, a trip to TL to snorkel :) Surprise! There's sharks and fishies.

Only our younger girls have stayed at BWV, the older kids have never even seen it. It's going be a surprise that we are not staying at ASMo for more than one night :) (3 rooms at ASMo for 1 nite, but 2-2bdrms @ BWV for 7nites) Surprise - we're moving on up!
I have decorations & stockings for all the kids packed and little gifts for the first few nights (I'll gather more while there). Surprise! Santa came!

Sadly, the only surprise for DH & I will be the bill at the end of the week - No, not really ... actually it will be seeing the joy and excitement in all of their eyes. Even though DH & I are able to go to WDW frequently, it's difficult to get a vacation with all of the Dkids and Dgrandbabies at the same time! Surprise! We ARE family!!! :grouphug:

I always surprise DD with a princess meal. Each trip I do something differet as her invitation.

This year, in addition to the princess meal, I had the CM at Graden grill tell her that even though her mom forgot to make reservations, Chip and Dale put in a special request for her.

I surprised my family (husbands birthday) by splitting our stay between ASMovies and the Poly. Three days into our trip I said "let's get packing...we're moving". I didn't tell anyone so I just arranged for everything to be moved and it wasn't until I told them to get on the monorail at the Magic Kingdom did they realize where we were heading.:earseek: Boy were they surprised and of course, now I am THE MOM.:love1: They love me and of course now we're spoiled and have to go back!;)

Two surprises for my family...

We are moving to Port Orleans Riverside 1/2 way through our trip...cross your fingers that the kids will be able to use the waterslide!

And we are going to the ice event at the Gaylord Palms!!

What a wonderful idea! We love this movie too. Maybe I need to go check out e-bay myself?? :teeth:

One year I surprised my family with the Illuminations Cruise. I also had hot chocolate waiting on board. It was a great evening and we still talk about it.

I have a few surprises either lined up or in mind for our March trip

1) It's DW's b-day when we arrive. She thinks we are staying at Pop Century, but we are actualy staying at POR. I won't tell her until we arrive on property (This one's a done deal)

2) One night during our trip I will send kids to one of the "kids' clubs" at one of the resorts and take DW on a surprise "adult only" evening in World Showcase (I need to make my PS for San Angel soon!)

3) Everybody else thinks we are not doing any character meals. I have just about decided to make a PS for Liberty Tree Tavern one day.

Can't wait to surprise evryone (especially DW) with these things!

we aren't going until next year *sigh*

but on this trip will be me, my DH, my sister, her DH, my brother, maybe his girlfriend, and our mom, and dad...

dad's always wanted to do a vow renewal for him and mom. well, since we can't really afford the full blown deal for them...we're going to make PS for the ice cream social and have them do a rehitchin' ceremony! and we're going to pick up the bride and groom ears for them to wear afterwards...cheesy, i know...but they'll love it! oh and since dad uses a motorized wheelchair, we're gonna put a sign on the back that says "just rehitched!"

i'd like to throw in a few more surprises along the way, but just haven't thought much about it yet...keep your ideas coming though! it's making my brain work overtime!!!

for our trip in Oct 2004

I will be surprising my Mom , sister, her girlfriend , and my DD and DS with a Limo ride to and from the Airport to the Hotel then we will got to DTD for dinner at the Rainforest Cafe' which I will pay for . (just because I am thankful that they are my family ! ) and I will be also trying to get an Illuminations Cruise ( - If i do I will have extra spots and open them to other Dis'ers) Michelle

Surprises are soo much fun ( I think I will be planning a surprise after christmas trip for the kids in 2005 too - what can I say -- I just love to Plan )

A couple of posters have mentioned a rehitching ceremony in conjunction with the ice cream social at epcot. I have looked for info about this and can't find it can anyone give me some more details about this or tell me who to contact. It sounds like something different...thanks

:sunny: Well, let's see ... first of all we are staying on property for 2 weeks, which we have not done before:tongue: Not a surprise, but very special for all of us::yes:: I have made ps for character breakfast at Cape May Cafe which is a surprise to my 3 dd's 12,10 & 7. We are also eating for the first time at the Rainforest Cafe ... surprise & eating some more elaborate meals with the vouchers I purchased entiltling everyone to their own desserts. Usually don't have desserts, so very special and of course at Beaches & Cream too:sunny:

Thank you to everyone .. great ideas::yes::
