Do you have something special planned for your next trip that no one else knows about

:sunny: Oops .. forgot to mention that I have picked up lanyards for everyone and various pins (some more special than others) and will put them into everyones stocking for "pin trading" the very first time:sunny:

Would love ::yes:: to do the Illuminations cruise, but no takers for Jan 3-15 as of yet ... :earseek:

I am getting so excited ... our trip is coming up sooooo soon!

I've got 2 surprises in the works for my trip next week for my Disney wedding/honeymoon.

1) My matron of honor is riding down to WDW with us (her husband is coming down a couple of days later). She knows we are going to Kona Cafe, which is her favorite restaurant at WDW, for dinner. What she doesn't know is that I am surprising her with tickets for us to go to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party the night we arrive! She casually mentioned that she was sad to not be going to the Magic Kingdom during her trip the other day, and inside I kept thinking, "Oh yes you are going to the MK!"

2) My parents have been so sweet to me and so generous about my wedding. My dad has always wanted to stay at the Wilderness Lodge, but he decided to move over to a moderate resort after my wedding to save a little money. He doesn't know it, but I have paid the difference between a room at CBR and a room at the WL as a surprise! I can't wait to see his face when he sees the WL lobby at Christmas time! :)

I love this place...my next trip is one year away...but I just get so happy reading about all the nice things other people are doing for their families!! *sigh*

Anyhow, I usually do lots of little surprises for my kids -- they are little so they never know what character meals they are going to. I just book them -- and surprise! I usually get lots of fun stuff to travel with (some Disney, some not - stickers, pens, etc.) I've also sent gift baskets and wine to the room from the Disney Florist. We all enjoyed that.

I decorated our room for my DD's 4th birthday last trip.
Last trip, I also got my DH a pass to the golf tornament and a couple of tee times. He was very surprised!

Next trip I will probably book the Luau to surprise my MIL. She recently got back from Hawaii and she loved it. I'd also liek to surprise DH with a re-hitching....

When we go in 2008 for my 40th birthday  I will book a birthday cruise and surprise my family with it. I'm also thinking about a vow renewal (for real, not just a rehitching...2008 will be 15 years...we'll see.)

we've been going to wdw frequently enough over the last couple of years and i want to keep doing so! in order for that to happen, i have to keep to a pretty tight budget!

but, i always plan one special sit=down meal, that is a surprise for everyone else until we get there. we've only done ohana's and chef mickey's so far; can't wait to find something exciting for 2/05!

I have a really hard time keeping secrets from my DDs, 10 and 6, especially when it comes to WDW...but for the last 3 months we've been planning a surprise NYE trip. We leave Dec. 30 and come back Jan. 5! They will find out when they get a special Christmas present...Pal Mickey's!! And I promise, promise, promise not to let anything about the trip slip...like we're staying in the WL for the first time, we FINALLY have CRT ressies, and we have a dinner package for the Candlelight Processional. Now, if I can just last a few more weeks... !

I bought a gift certificate for the King's Experience at Richard Petty's Driving Experience for dh's Christmas gift. I haven't told anyone in my family about it because my kids can't keep their big mouths shut, lol, especially the 3 yr old! I can't decide if I will give him the g.c. at Christmas time or surprise him the day of his drive (Jan 2) by just taking him there without saying where we're going. He's gonna go nuts!:p

Doing the Single Digit Dance!!

Our trip is a surprise for our children. We will have them get in the car for an errand and instead drive to the airport!

Then, we have Gifts of Lifetime doing a surprise scavengar hunt for them as well as the Family Adventure Tour/Challenge at WDW.

Well, we just returned from a surprise trip for our kids! It was amazing. DD-8 found out when she came home from school last Monday and the bags were packed (we left 10 minutes later). Then we picked up DS-4 and were on our way to the airport. It was a blast! The kids were soooo surprised! It was also our longest trip - 9 days.

Then I surprised myself by buying APs. Yikes! Darn, guess we have to go back soon :) We are so spoiled.

I had some surprises planned for DD on our next trip. Actually a mini-trip, we are visiting WDW for a couple of days on either side of a 10 day cruise on Celebrity.

First two nights at WLV, first time. OK, she heard me on the phone about that one.

Tickets for MVMCP on Dec. 18. Um, she knows about that one too.

Dinner reservations at CRT that night - I think this one will be a surprise!

She doesn't know about our plans to zipline through the Rain forest in Costa Rica, I know she will love that one.

Dinner at California Grill to watch Wishes the night we get off the ship. Yep, told her about that too.

I'm not so good at keeping secrets. Diana

- Gift baskets for each of my family
- Grand One Yacht!!!! They think we are just going on the regular fireworks cruise.

Seeing all the exciting plans here, I decided to leave grandma out of the loop this time and am TRYING to plan a Fantasmic! Dinner Package. Can't seem to get through though!!!! So frustrating! I finally decide to bite the bullet and do it, and the lines are tied up!!! Good for Disney I guess, but I just know that LAST ressie is going to be GONE by the time I get through!!!

I am surprising my hubby for Christmas with the WDW trip! We leave 1/14, for 8 days! I have been working very hard - I have a home business making candles, and my poor hubby has been a single parent for a few months! I paid for the whole trip in one weekend at a craft sale, and can't wait to leave! (Yes, candles! Who knew?!?!)

Wow! There are some really great ideas on this thread :) I've booked the sleigh ride as a surprise for our first night as well and a stretch limo for the airport :)

I worried for nothing! I got my Fantasmic! package PS--CM was fabulous! Then when I got home today, I had my package from The DIS Store waiting for me!!! (Thanks Dorothy!!! LOVE my stuff!!) So this has been a banner day!:earsgirl: :sunny:

Mom2ben02, I'm impressed! What kind of candles do you make? Diana
