What are they? What are they called and why?

Me first

I have 3 kitties :cat::cat::cat:

Buzz:cat: Boy kittie...of course named after Buzz Lightyear - He loves to fly around the house and garden and even has a Buzz Lightyear outfit :)

Milly:cat: My little girlie:) Apparently Minnie Mouses niece was called Milly in one of the cartoons:earsgirl: She keeps the boys in check;)

Simba:cat: Boy kittie...yes a proper little Lion. He spends his time pouncing and cleaning himself....he meows a lot, but I like to think he is practicing his roar:)

OK who's next.....

We have no pets :( due to DH allergies. He only has to look at a cat to start sneezing for hours :)

I always used to have rabbits and hamsters.

We have no pets either. OUr dog dies about 3 years ago and we haven't had the heart to get another one.

OK are ya ready ?

A 14 year old cat called Billy - Long haired Tabby

A 2 year old black and white cat called Alfie typical Tom cat

A 14 year old black dog - a Bitza _ (bits a this and that) called Roger.

A mini lop eared rabbit called smokey who is free range in the garden and thinks the football is his female companion (say no more !!)

Three female guinea pigs called Taz, patch and twiglet

and a male guinea pig whos just called Big Boy !

and 49 fish in the pond.

:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :sunny:

I have two Bassett Hound dogs they are both 4 1/2yrs old and are called Willow and Rosie

We named Willow after Willow in Buffy the Vampire Slayer because we thought that Willow was really nice and sweet and mellow which is how Bassetts are supposed to be. However, just like Willow in Buffy turned out to be a witch, our Willow dog turned out to be psycho dog from hell! I've never known any dog be as able to get into trouble as quickly as Willow can. If its not nailed down, locked up or out of reach, she will have it!

Our other dog Rosie is a typical Bassett, she is sweet, lovable, lazy and gorgeous. We didn't name her as she was six months old when we got her so her previous owner had picked her name. However, her Kennel Club registered name is Tinkerbell so we were obviously destined to get her.

We have a dog she's a Flat-Coated Retriever called Willow she's 14months old and lovely.
Apart from her passion for tins of biscuits:p

;)

We have three
cat.gif

Charlie - tabby and white male
George - black female
Felix - aka Fred - looks like Felix.

Charlie and George are named so because DH is a fanatical Arsenal support (Charlie George you see) and are brother and sister, 15 years old on 6 August. They are, sadly, getting on rather. Lady George is terribly arthritic, but manages to run when there's the mention of some food;) . Charlie is rapidly going downhill and I dread when anything happens to any of my pets, but Charlie had kidney failure when he was a kittie and we nearly lost him then, so he's a bit of a miracle going this long, bless him.

Felix - well, he adopted us three years ago. We can only assume he'd run away. He would not let a human being near him, lived in our garden for 6 months before he trusted us to touch him. He is still very nervous around strangers, especially men who wear big boots, and doesn't like loud noises. He used to cower when we offered him food, so we can only assume some brute used to beat him, especially some of the wounds he first had (if I ever find the person who did this to an animal. . . . .). He is, honest to goodness, the most affectionate cat I have ever known, simply gorgeous and I'm convinced he's paying us back. After all, he chose us::yes::

Then we have the last of DD Katie's guinea pigs - Tilly - who has just had her fourth birthday.

We also have a family of badgers who, whilst not our pets, have become part of the clan:hyper: , as have Dave and Daisy the ducks who visit our pond for a month each summer:D

we have a 2 year old border collie x called...SCOOBY!
we got him last year from a local rescue centre, he was only 9 months then and his owner had died. He was already called scooby so we kept the name.
He's a very good natured dog. He loves to be with people, hates birds landing in the garden and generally chases anything that moves!!:hyper:
Jeanette:wave:

2 lovely black and white cats - 11 year old litter sisters - chalk and cheese and dislike each other intensely. Love 'em both to bits. Names are Pootle and Posie (from a children's TV cartoon in the early eighties - they were northern potato characters).

One is skinny and sweet natured (unless tweeting happens to be your method of communication that is!), the other is plump and has attitude ::yes:: The latter is Pootle - I'll say no more :D

We have a 11 month old Black Labrador called Barney, and a ginger tom called Bobby :)

We have 3 cats and a rabbit.

Cats are Bracken: 9 yrs, a persian burnese cross adn shes beautiful and knows it!!

Bramble: 9 yrs, a black moggy, very loving, but on her terms only.

Barley: 6 yrs, a Birman, beautiful, but deaf. Because of this he is VERY loud as he can't hear himself miaowwing!!

The Rabitt: Blueberry, a large grey rabbit, who is feeling very lonely as her mate Bluebell died 3 weeks ago.

Then we did have a hamster called Sandi ( I hear yu say that it doesn't begin with "B", son named him!) but he died 2 weeks ago.

We are wondering if there will be a 3rd! Hope not!

We have a 6 year old west highland terrier called Jock - hence my user name!! He is the number one man of the house and my DH is number 2!!:teeth:

i have tropical fish::yes::
does this count as having pets i wonder? :D

By sheer coincidence we've literally just done a 650 mile round trip today to collect a puppy !!

Got up at 5.30 this morning to travel to Brecon to collect a 9 week old Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier...........most beautiful dog imaginable.

His name looks like being Marcus...........we must have gone through every name imaginable...Fergus, Feargal, Dylan, ...and many more were considered and rejected. Got there..... the lady calls him Marcus ( for no real reason ) and the name suits him... so much for our efforts.

He's laid next to me as I type this....all peace and bliss..... let's see what I'm saying at 3.30 in the morning when he's crying the house down on his first night without his 8 brothers and sisters!!LOL!!

Aaaw, I just had a look on Google to see what a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier look like they look SOOO cute!

We have a 2 year old Lowchen called Brodie and he is stuffed full of fun and nonsense and we love him to bits!

Helen

I also have a terrapin who is at least 25 yeras old, doesn't look a day over 15.

And then I have my new baby Billy. A yorkshire terrier and a complete bundle of fun, love and trouble LOL He is nearly 14 weeks and I have had from 8. He is so adorable but so naughty at times too.
