Do you have any members in your family or friends that say.....

Do you ever get any comments like that?

.....why are you going back to Walt Disney World/Disneyland again?

I know I do.

It doesn't seem to matter how many times I reply

1. I haven't seen/done it all yet

and

2. but I like it there!

...a couple of my family members always say something like "why are you going back AGAIN?" as if it is a crime or something! :p

It's funny really as when we return to other places/countries they just accept it - oh well, I expect some of you experience it as well and I'm not alone here! :)

Yep..
They've never been though..

Yep, I just tell them to know my love for WDW is to love me.;) I have 1 friend that asks me why I don't just move to WDW, I tell her it's not because I haven't thought of it.;)

Most of the people I work with don't understand the attraction. I've stopped trying to explain it to them. We just go and have a great time.

Sometimes I do... I must admit though more recently they seem to have adjusted. I usually get more comments like "Not surprising" when I say I have booked a trip :teeth:

How bout those that dont say anything but you get that look. The funny thing is that those people that go on ski vacations every year or some place like Martha's Vineyard every year dont get asked "are you going again?". Why are those poeple considered lucky and we are considered odd to go back to Disney as often as we can?
For me going back as often as I can mean I dont have to try to go commando to see everything I want because I know I'll see it again pretty soon.

I can't remember an instance where they ever have.

I have one cousin who says that all the time, and it not like we go all the time. We've been the WDW 2X and US/IOA 2X in the last 4 yrs. Of course she goes gambling in Miss. 3-4 X a yr, but that is different. (? How I do not know). I also have a friend that insist my kids must hate me for takign them there. After all there can't be anything for kids there since her reitred aunt and uncle go every yr. Of course this is the same friend who's son went with his granfather for 3 days whiel the aunt and uncle were there. She told me that she didn't understand why they stay at Disney world since they didnt' take her son to Disney. They took him to Magic Kingdom (what ever that is she never heard of that place), Epcot and MGM (at universal according to her)

I don't say to people, you're going to the Beach again this summer. Didn't you just go last summer?

They just don't understand.

Yes, I'm going back again, and again, and again, and again, and again!!!!!!!

Just some family, not all. None of our neighbors, they pretty much go once a year, but we all get vacation at different times, so we have never been there together. Last year, we met friends down there and surprised my Dad, Aunt and Uncle which was nice. The ones that say you are going again, just don't get it....and probably never will. Oh well, their loss!

We get the same thing too. People are always saying, aren't you bored of going there and I simply say, not at all. They just don't get it, I feel sorry for them.

I usually get 'didn't you just come back from there?' My reply is usually, no that was over a month ago :D

Maybe it's a bit more extreme for me. It's almost a given that Canadians here on the west coast will go to Disneyland at some point. So when I say that we are going to WDW - they say, "Why don't you just go to Disneyland in California?"

Sometimes I mock family and friends when they say they are going 'camping for the weekend' or they are 'going skiing'. I'll  roll my eyes  and say, "Are you going camping AGAIN?" or "Are you going skiing AGAIN?. (It doesn't improve relationships. . . but it sure makes me feel better!) :teeth:

Sometimes, but usually only from people that don't know me that well - only enough to know I've been there. Those who know me better ask me when I'm going again or do I have a trip planned.

My DH doesn't understand why I can't go visit my family in Florida and not stop at WDW. He just doesn't get it. He calls me a Disney freak.

People just shake their heads. They don't understand. But they will go to the Wisconsin Dells every year. Yuck!!!

ALL THE TIME...LOL....This is why I love the boards...YOU understand me....Actually, my husband tries to resist ,but, I keep convincing him...hehehe.;) I think I'm gonna start making up trips.....I will say we are visiting the UK and France and then I will get my picture taken at WS to show them.
