Do you have a "never again" list? Which restaurants are on it and why?

For me I'll seperate CS from TS restaurants.

For the CS, I'll never eat at ABC Commissary again. In fact we were in WDW last week and went into ABC just to get out of the heat and drink a Diet Coke, but no way was I going to seperate my lips to partake of any food item offered in this establishment.

As for TS, for me it is the highly acclaimed and over hyped Le'Cellier. This is not the worst meal I've ever had, but I personally thought it was average. I didn't care for the steak smuthered in musroom sauce that tasted like it was poured out of a Campbells Musroom soup can and poured over rice (ok, they call it Rissoto).

What was really shocking is the arrogance of the staff and management. They are popular and seem to think they don't have to do a thing to earn a customers business. I was not happy with being placed right next to the restroom entrance and between the silverware serving station and the other station which was the credit card station. The managers response when asked if we could be moved ? NO, this is the only place available, if you don't want to sit here you will need to find another restaurant to eat at. Now that is arrogant.

Raglan Road. Too loud (couldn't hear each other talk). Lukewarm, soggy fish and chips. Yuck.

I only have one 'never again'-ABC Commissary. Just vile. As others have said DHS is not a full day park for us so I can work around eating in that park.

I have to agree with this. We think that "ABC" must stand for "Already Been Chewed". Electric Umbrella is nearly as bad. Liberty Inn was also terrible. Have never had a truly inedible meal at a table service but a meal at Rose and Crown came close.

Crystal Palace - Food was good but service was awful. Had the same experiences as other with the characters for two adults. I was told "Bring a kid next time" from the CM who was following Chip or Dale after I asked to get a picture after he passed me 3 times. I will never go back to a character breakfast again.

I think that's inexcusable, since there are tons of adults without kids who enjoy character interaction. Think of all the honeymoon couples alone who go to WDW. I would have immediately asked to see the manager if a character handler said "bring a kid next time" after not allowing you to see Chip and Dale. If the manager wasn't equally appalled, I'd have walked over to City Hall (Guest Relations) and explained the situation that after three attempts of seeing characters pass by your table and you haven't seen them, "Cast Member X" told you to bring kids next time! I don't think it's unreasonable to get character visits when you're paying for it! (Ok, getting off my soap box now.)

Like I said on the prior reply, I would have gone to Guest Relations just to let them know that they are responding to guests in a rude manner. I wouldn't expect anything from either the above Crystal Palace or Le Cellier incidents, but at least the cast members will alert the people above to possibly approach and re-train them on how to properly talk to guests who aren't yelling at them!

While I have many places that I would not willingly go to again, none were so bad that I would NEVER go.

Except for one......

I have been twice. Breakfast and Dinner. Both times the food was so so. I felt like we were rushed rushed rushed. I had the feeling that if we lingered too long we were going to really gum up the works. You are def. moved along rather quickly. But for such a high demand restaurant I can understand that Disney is trying to give the opportunity to as many people as possible.

But the kicker for me is the effort it takes to get the ressie in the first place, plus the 2 dining credits, or total costs if you pay OOP. It was just not worth the effort to get the coveted reservation and then use 2 dining credits.

I guess I should not say never though. I am sure if we have a little princess in our future I will end up there again. The only reason being to give my child the experience.

I have a few others that I would probably not go to in the near future unless there are some changes made. Coral Reef, Cosmic Ray's, 50's Prime Time, and Rainforest Cafe. For no other reason than "been there, done that" and nothing was special enough to make me go back.

I felt the same way about Le Cellier's food! The quality of the steaks was very good, but the mushroom sauce was salty, and I took a lot of it off. I did not get the risotto. I substituted the potato gratin that normally comes with the NY Strip steak. It was so salty I couldn't eat more than a couple of bites. Very disappointing.

We didn't experience the arrogance that you did, but that's a real shame too. Attitudes like that can ruin a dining experience.

IMHO, Le Cellier is so popular and hard to get into for 2 reasons...one, it has more familiar foods compared to the other countries in the WS at Epcot, and two, it is only 1 credit on the DDP. But that will change, at least for dinner, come March. We paid OOP with the TiW card, so we had a 20% discount , which took a substantial amount off the check. Still though, I was disappointed at how salty the food was.

As someone already stated, we really should try each restaurant and form our own opinion.

I'd totally agree with this if I were there more than once or twice a year (when I'm really lucky) and if they weren't $150-$200 experiments for the three of us.

I really appreciate hearing all these reviews in one place, though I have to say that one of my all time favorites is Le Chefs De France. We loved our server, he had a discussion with my son who is learning French, the food was amazing and I could eat the creme brulee every day of my life.

That said, after reading about the bugs in the salmon, I don't think I could ever think of the place in the same way. It kind of makes me sad!

For me, it's CRT and Akershus.

Some background, we are two adults, with two adult boys that rarely travel with us. We drop down to WDW for long weekends on a moments notice and have the TiW card.

I used to LOVE both of these restaurants "before princesses". Right before Akershus went all princess, all the time, I told the manager I would not be back in and I haven't.

I knew CRT was princess for breakfast and lunch and never went in there during those times.

I did however have dinner in there a couple of times and it was really good when it was al a carte.

Then CRT went to fixed price, however dinner was still no princesses, but we didn't ever go to the trouble of dining there, until last week.......

I was so shocked when I was browsing reservations that it came up for dinner only 5 days out that I booked it. It was "very" late (9:50 pm) and I thought there were still no princesses for dinner, so I hoped that the "bibbidy bobbidy" crowd would be at a minimum.

The entire evening turned into a disaster. First off it was really hard to even GET to the restaurant. We arrived at MK about 8:30. Main Street was super congested for the parade. Then once the parade passed, we had the worst time finding the right cast member to even let us into the castle as they close off part of Fantasyland for the Fireworks.

Then we finally arrive, and there is a Bibbidy Bobbidy family there with 4 darling little princesses dressed to the nines taking multititudes of pictures. We finally get inside and have our picture with Cindy, then head inside. We do get seated in a nice quiet corner, but unfortunately under an air conditioning vent and it drips on us periodically. We do manage to arrange our chairs to avoid the drips. Then the menu arrives and no prime rib!! Well DH is a HUGE meat eater and about went balistic on me. Then we hear these announcements and princesses start roaming the room. Not what we expected at all. My fish entree was excellent by the way, and our server JR saved the evening and scored a big piece of prime rib for DH!!! (He also whispered something to the princesses to just pass by and wave hello to us.)

Oh, I will probably never eat again at LeCellier either. I WILL NOT try to book ANYTHING 180 days out.

We will most likely not eat at Boma again. We've been there 2 times with groups of 8 to 10, and each time, we had to wait almost an hour after our reservation time to be seated. Perhaps it works better for smaller groups, but it wasn't worth the time, money, or transportation hassle to get there.

Character breakfast at the Polynesian....waited 45 minutes for Stitch to make it to our table, when he got to the table before ours, he suddenly disappeared. Asked the kids(the 3 and 5) if they wanted to waste anymore time at the over-priced let down of a breakfast with mediocre food or if they wanted to high-tail it to Magic Kingdom(it was the second morning of our first trip), they both voted for ditching the character breakfast and heading to the Magic Kingdom

Marakesh! We were on free DDP, but even the tip was more than I felt we should have paid. We love Morrocan food, but it was really not good. Poorly made cous-cous. Bland flavors. The desserts should be avoided at all costs (but then the cuisine is not known for desserts). I should have believed the reviews from the DISsers.

San Angel Inn - Bad food/Bad service. And no, I don't believe the food seemed bad because it was authentic. I had much better food than that while I was in Mexico .

Le Cellier - Unless it gets good again. Not very good steaks (lots of gristle).

We were totally unimpressed with Le Cellier. Hmmm...where do I start? We were seated 30 past our ressie. Okay, I can understand that happens. It took another 30 minutes before our server took our order. An hour later, we still didn't have our food. I asked to speak to the manager. He informed us, "they'd had a few problems and he was sorry"...end of story. Of course, we were starving and it was 9:30 ..so we asked if they would box it up. An hour later, we finally were able to eat our dinner. It was 10:30 and 3 hours after our reservation. The food was "okay".

We may give Le Cellier another chance, but not any time soon. The whole experience still leaves a sour taste...3 years later.

Our big dissapoinment in 2009 was Hollywood and Vine, dinner food was ok dessert was yummy but service was bordering on rude and horrible

Chef Mickey's-Dinner-the only good thing was the parmesan mashed potatoes. Everything else was gross, dirty, bad service breakfast was a little better but same dirty and service issues. I think there is just too many people parading thru there....

WCC-was cute the first time, food was not too bad-went a second time the following year-food went down hill and not as entertaining

I also don't agree with all the whole grain switch, as a grown person I should have the choice of white or whole grain....I hate whole grain...it's too dry then you have to load everything down with sauces and condiments and there goes the health factor they are trying to achieve...

I do think that every place has good days and bad days though....just depends on which day you are there.
