Do you have a name that is either misspelled or mispronounced?

My dd's name is Sara. Without the h. She gets all bent out of shape when she sees it "misspelled". Her daddy's name is Allen. We see Alan, Allen, Allan, Allyn, etc. (my brother's middle name is Alan, my brother tries to start a debate about the spelling of the name from time to time ).

Does it bother you to see your name misspelled or hear it mispronounced?

Usually misspelled -- most of the time, people spell my name "Steven" instead of "Stephen".

My name is misspelled all of the time. It is Debbi.

My name is Erika, and it is almost always misspelled, and many times mispronounced. I guess it doesn't bother me that much, because I am so used to it. My dauther is Alexa and is often called Alexis, and that does drive me nuts.

Yes, my first and last name are misspelled all the time!! Drives me nuts. I usually get Sherri, instead of Sherry, and my last name gets pronounced wrong alot, too. My oldest DS's name is misspelled all the time too. His name is JonathAn, but we get JonathOn, or Johnathan alot.

I never let it bother me. I remember as a kid it was always a game at Valentines Day to see how many different spellings my classmates would come up with.

Sometimes I've even meet people that spell my name the same as I do

the worse butchering was by the sect. of my highschool....
who called me to the office on day and pages me as

I get called Sharon instead of Shannon a lot. And a couple of times growing up, I'd have on sunglasses and kids would call me blue eyes. I have very brown eyes.

Well It mostly my nick name. About 7 or 8 years ago while working out in a gym, I walked in and heard one of they guys yell out

Ant-nee. They name has stuck ever since. I have it written on all of my workout equipment and so people dont realize that it is slang for my first name.

But sometimes people forget that there is actually a second "n" in that nickname and they call me Antee which makes me feel like I should wear support hose or something.

Antnee, my brother had a roommate in college named Anthony. My brother had problems remembering his name. Anthony just didn't seem to fit him. We've called him Dru for years (my brother kept thinking Andrew ). Dru rarely gets called Anthony anymore.

My name is Norah spelt with the "h". Everyone forgets the "h" because it is normally spelt Nora.

Yes, my first name is spelled wrong constantly...but my last name is worse. Spelled wrong and pronounced wrong every time. I've worked in the same office for over a year and NOT ONE of my coworkers (or my boss) can pronounce OR spell my last name. After a while it's just insulting...get it right already!

It doesn't bother me to hear my name mispronounced, I get called Kathleen a lot. I don't like it when people "correct" the spelling of my name, thinking someone wrote it wrong I used to get that in school a lot and it worked to my advantage at University as the professors would remember me because of my name.

Happens all the time to us. Our last name is Cyre, pronounced Sear. We get Crier and Cyree most often. My daughters name is Moira, pronounced Moyrah and we get Moria and Maura quite often. I don't really get bent out of shape because we do have a unique last name.

My MOM can't even pronounce Moira, she calls her Maura. I don't know though if she really can't pronounce it or if she just likes the sound of Maura better. She is the type to call her whatever she wants regardless of what we named her.

I get Lora instead of Laura sometimes but the worst is my last name......it is a 13 letter polish name and very rarely does anyone get it right.
