Do you have a favourite CM?

Karis. She works at the Contemporary and was instrumental in assisting my proposal at California Grill on Valentine's Day. She was able to meet all my requests and the communication between here an I was crystal clear. Working in Corporate America, you don't typically see emails of her caliber.

We were able to meet her face to face after the proposal. My fiancee and I have become Facebook friends with her and she is just a beautiful person. I can't speak highly enough about her.

In my opinion, she is the definition of what a Disney Cast Member should be.

Jackie from the Innkeeper's club at the BWI is wonderful! She is one of the few old school CM that make you feel like the magic is alive and well at Disney. She always remembers us by name and seems genuinely happy to have us returning. If only Disney would recognize how much these special CM bring to the resorts and the parks. Without them Disney just becomes another park.

I have a favorite CM! But I don't know her name :( I wish I knew because she made me feel so special and made my day!
I'm gonna share my story with you guys:

I'm from Brazil and I always wanted to go to Disney World since I was a little kid. I'm crazy and desperate passionate about Disney in every single way. From the movies to the magic.
I got a chance to live a dream with my boyfriend during September 2014, it was the best time of my entire life. I fulfilled the biggest dream of my life with the person I love the most. It was magical in every single way.

Back to last year, we made a huge effort to be able to go again, because I NEEDED to be able to live that dream one more time. We made it after a very hard year with a huge crisis here in Brazil, and we were able to have that magic of a lifetime again in November 2015.

The moment I'm here to mention happened when I first enter the Main Street USA at the Magic Kingdom (my favorite place on EARTH) on the first day of our trip last November and I couldn't help but cry my heart out because I was the happiest person alive in the whole world in that moment, and then a magical castmember (which I could never been more thankful for) said out loud to me "Are you happy happy, huh? Do you need a hug?" and then I ran to her and hug her and it was the best feeling in the world, because I was tearing apart of been so grateful and happy like never before.

I said thanks to her but in the rush of the moment and with my dizzy heart and head of all that was happening that moment, I couldn't look to her name tag and memorize. She was a blond woman in the age of 20-30 standing near between the first and second lightpole at the Main Street during that day in November 10th. I would like to thank her once again for making the magic as a incredible kind human been and castmember.

Matt from our KTTK tour was great. He ate lunch at our table and his personal story of starting as a janitor and working his way up to a guide was
incredible to listen to. Very knowledgeable and friendly. He made the tour a very magical experience.

Michael from the Barbershop. I don't know if he is still there, I haven't been since 2009, but he use to always remember me.

I hope he is still there, I need some pixie dust!

I have a few

JO on main street ( he is older and uses a cain)

Shasha form BTMRR ( I heard she is moving up so she may not be there)

and Kathleen my all time favorite she is a manager west side custodial last time I was there I asked a CM where she was so he called her on the head set. He looked at me and say well she said something but I am not sure what about 5 minutes I feel a hand on my back it was her she cam on stage just to say hi to me before going to a meeting. the resion why I like her so much is that I was having a lot of medical problems she ended up calling the paramedics on me 2x the last time I had to go to the ER and both times she made a very bad day better, she like a mom to me alway asking if I am ok and how i am doing such a nice lady

Scoop Sanderson on Main Street. But he is really a character :D
Fernando at Tatooine Traders.

About a year ago our family (Me, DH, DD4, DD6) was on a bus to MK for BBB appointments for our girls.
Appt was at 8a.m., so we are in a super hurry, leaving POFQ around 7:15a.m. for a bus.

Getting excited listening to the MK music when the bus was approaching the destination, I realized I forgot my rings I left in a glass by the hotel room sink. I was really panicked, afraid that rings may get thrown out by accidents when Mouse keepers come to clean the room........I was telling my husband to take kids to BBB, and I'll have to go back to POFQ a.s.a.p. As we were getting off the bus, I asked the nice driver where the bus stop going back to POFQ, and he asked me why are you going back?
I told him my story, and he said..........."well I'm supposed to go to other resort, but I can drop you off at POFQ so you may not miss your daughter's BBB appointment entirely" I thanked him multiple times, ran back to my room, grabbed my rings, and luckily got on a bus back to MK and only missed 15 minutes of my daughters' appointment.

A few days later as we were getting on the bus for MK from POFQ again, familier voice said "You guys are still here?! Hope you didn't forget your rings in a room this time!", and that was the kind driver I met, and I'll always remember him whenever I think about WDW trip......

Birdie at POR the doorman. I sat and talked to him for a while. He is a great guy. Richard at GF is also quite famous. I also love the piano player over at Casey's Corner in MK.

I loved Richard. I was at the GF for a conference last month and would take the long way to the convention center just to say hi. He was a delight.

Loukili at 50s Prime Time is a riot. My poor husband made the mistake of checking his phone. "THIS GUY MAKES A RESERVATION SIX MONTHS IN ADVANCE AND CAN'T EVEN TALK TO HIS WIFE! THE STOCK MARKET IS CLOSED TODAY, SIR! PAY ATTENTION TO MAMA!"

Matthias at Biergarten was amazing, and if he is still there please ask for him, because you will love him. I need to do this more often, honestly, but we were so impressed we asked to speak with a manager when we left, just to rave about him.

Ohhhhh, I have an answer for this one!

Every year we book a meal at the Plaza Restaurant. Two of us have peanut allergies and so we inform the server and the chef comes out. I don't know if she ever takes a day off or if we are lucky but we always get Chef Veronica at the Plaza coming to our table and she is really fantastic and now every time we go back we wonder if she will be there to come visit our table!

We have meet some great CM's on our trips, and one not so great (BAD Barbara at the Splash Mt. gift shop, circa 2012... Yeah, I'm talking about you!).
The one that sticks with us the most though is Kevin. He was an older gentleman that waited on us at Mama Melrose's and he was by far the funniest, and most attentive server I have had, in any restaurant, EVER! This guy needs a Disney character modeled after him, like now! We just loved him, and my family still talks about him almost 4 years later. When we talked about going back to WDW next year, one of the first questions the kids asked, was if we were eating at Mama Melrose's so we could see him.
I don't know if he's still there (this was back in 2012), but I sure hope so!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Barbara!! She (used? it's been an awful long time since I've seen her so she may have moved on) to work on Main Street, driving the vehicles/train and working Pac! She's SUPER energetic, positive and just the UTMOST MAGICAL human being ever. Every time we see her we make sure to stop to chat and say hello, she's always so encouraging and friendly and enthusiastic and is just so amazing.

Barbara is so much fun! My husband danced up the street with her one day.
It seems like I read in one of these threads she was no longer on Main Street.

"Cousin Mikey" that used to be a server at 50's primetime café! We had him as our server by chance one year and he was so fun and nice...it really was a highlight of our trip! We requested him the next year and he was just as great! Last year we were hoping to see him again but unfortunately he wasn't serving there anymore. :(

Michael was there in December. He gave my daughter her first haircut. It took forever to get the pixie dust out of her hair, but we hope to get some more from him in August.
