I was watching TV early this morning, and I saw a new Disney commercial. I laughed so hard. It was four women walking down Main St in MK, you can see the Castle behind them ( of course, LOL) one of the women takes out her walkie talkie ( OK, false advertising right there! It is impossible to use them things in the parks, LOL) and calls her husband. He picks up, he is on a golf course with 3 other guys ( assume they are the husbands of the 3 other women) She asks him where they are, he says MGM, on The Tower odf Terror. She says, ooh, sounds scary...he says yes, oohh a scary part coming up, then he starts yelling and the other guys do also, so to make it sound like they are on the ride, then he clicks off. LMBO ..the women look at each other and say, 'they're golfing"

My other favorite Disney commercial is the little boy talking and talking to his baby brother. How they are going to meet Mickey ,and he will tell him everything, blah blah, blah...the kid is a chatterbox...then Mickey appears in front of him and alls he can do is stand there and stare...too cute.

But my all time fave Disney commercial is the one where the woman is on her way out the door and the phone rings. You can see her husband taking luggage out of the house. She explains they are just leaving now, and no honey you can't come with us this time....and it ends up being her full grown married son! They show him in a big office, crying and hugging a picture of Mickey!!! I LOVED that commercial.

I think mine is were the guy is standing there you can see castle in back ground. He is looking over and Cinderella is looking at him and he sucks in is tummy. They go back and forth a few times then the wife comes up with his ice cream and say something smart an he lets his tummy out and says that was quick. I almost rolled off the couch the first time I saw that.

GREAT THREAD!!!!!!! ::yes::

My favorite is the "I'm too excited to sleep!" commercial. The parents hear the kids talking the night before their big trip and the little boy says, "We're too excited to sleep!". Then the parents are in bed and the Dad says to the Mom, "I'm too excited to sleep!" and the little boy yells, "We heard that!!!". Everytime DH and I talk about our upcoming trips it always starts out, "I'm too excited to wait xxx days!!!" Inevitably, the night before the big day we say, "I'm too excited to sleep!!!"

I also love the Cinderella one with the guy sucking in his tummy. I also like the one where the new Grandpa gets the call from his son that the baby has been born. The Grandpa imagines being in WDW with the child (who is then about 3). The Grandpa first imagines a little boy, then the son tells him it's a girl and he sees a little girl running toward him at WDW! That one makes me smile everytime!

I'm too excited to wait 45 days!!!

Erin :D

Oh, Lord, I do love that commercial with the man sucking in his gut for Cinderella. It's just so incredibly relatable.

I also love the one where the kids innocently let slip to people in an elevator that he was conceived at Disney or something like that. I can't remember it, and have rarely seen it, but I just remember it making me laugh my butt off.

My all time favorite is the one where a mother and daugther are in an elevator and the daugther keeps talking about the cruise that they took. Long story short she says this is my brother but my mom calls him her little souvenir. :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

This is one of my favorite commercials of all time! Technically not for DW, but still Disney! :)

His name is Joey, but mom calls him a little souvenir! I crack up every time I hear that!

I've enjoyed all the above mentioned commercials (whomever is working in Disney's advertising firm is doing a great job!) but my favorite is the couple in bed, and she leans over and pesters her DH, saying "You never say it anymore, please, just say it, just once"... And the DH finally relents, and in a flawless Donald Duck voice says "I love you"... I laughed so hard when I saw that, funny and sentimental at the same time.

My favorite is a few years old. It's the one with the grown man in his office who is pouting to his mom because he can't go to DW with her and his dad. It reminds me of how I feel when my parents go without me!!:(

Every time I thought I knew my favorite, you guys reminded of another one!! I love the 'Cinderella gut-sucking in' one, I love the grown son pouting, love the 'little souvenier' but right now it is probably the Mission Space one, where the kids tell their parents 'it's no big deal', then the parents do MS and are all scared to death!! There are just too many to choose one or two. They not only have me howling on the floor but at times they have me weeping on the sofa too!!

My favorite was back in 2000 (it probably started in '99). Flashback to a middle school classroom in the 50's or 60's, old-maid looking teacher is asking "How old will you be in 2000? You'll be MY AGE!!" Boy and girl look at each other horrified and say "We'll be too old to do ANYTHING." Flash forward to same people, now in their 40s or 50s, screaming their heads off in a roller coaster.

I loved that one because I remember figuring out that I'd be 42 in 2000 and I thought "Man, that's old" :teeth: Obviously, I don't think that anymore!!

How about the one where children are having a spelling bee and the teacher ask one student to spell microphone and he gets out mic and some adults say key and then all the adults are signing.
:teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

My favorite is the one that they started showing late last fall. It starts with a man and a little girl watching Illuminations on a bench. It is shown from behind at first and the narrator says something like "the only thing better than a father and daughter sharing a Magical moment at Walt Disney World is..." (and then they move the camera to the front) "is a brother and sister sharing a Magical moment". I cry everytime I see it!!!

My kids were 17 and 3 (June 2001) the first time we took our youngest to WDW and that commercial just gives me such great memories of that time!!

I just saw the wives and golfing husbands commercial this morning and laughed like crazy! That is so my husband. Although I think the wives were in front of the geosphere. I don't know, I missed the begining of it. My dh would spend our entire vacation on the links if he thought he could get away with it.

The one where the grampa is dreaming of taking his new grandson or granddaughter to the Magic Kingdom always makes me cry because we stopped going to Disney back in '86 but started up again in '99 when my oldest daughter (my dad's first grandchild) came along. That grampa is so my father!

THAT was one of my favorites also, but the most recent one is edging that one out. I'm talking about the parents who ask their kids what Mission: Space was like. The kids feign boredom and say it was ok. No, not scary at all. Next scene is the parents strapped in screaming their lungs out. Personally I'd be screaming "BOARDING SCHOOL!!!!".

I love it because I did the same thing to my mother regarding Space Mountain. I guess payback is coming up.

Great thread!

My favorite was from 1999.

The camera zeros in on a little boy's face and he has a hypnotic look on his face and his mouth is wide open.

In the echoed background, you hear a woman saying 'Max, Max..'and then the camera shows the little boy, his parents and him standing on Main Street facing Cindy's castle. The mother then says 'this is just the entrance, let's go in.' And then you hear the Disney music, see the 1-407-Disney.

Does anyone remember that one? I got chills each time I watched it. Maybe it's because that was after our first 'family' trip to Disney. We've since made it an annual tradition!

Just back a week ago and all my co-workers tease me about bringing back a little souvenir. #1 reason why not - 2 dbl beds in the same room, and #2-we were WAY too tired for THAT! Melanie

I like the one where the guy is sucking in his stomach for Cinderella. But there is a new one I've only seen 2 or 3 times. These kids are working really really hard in the yard (digging etc.) and the dad is sleeping on the lounge chair. The neighbor looks over and says something like geeze kids, you're working awfully hard today. The kids say dad told us if we work really hard we may earn a trip to WDW (or something like that) and the neighbor responds, Really? your dad told me kids stay free with the new Visa plan. Kids say Oh reaaaallllly and just turn to their sleeping dad. It's very funny.

Ok, I tried to post this yesterday and then it timed out on me :(

My favorite WDW commercial is when a man and woman are out to dinner. She thinks he's going to propose and says, "I heard you talked to my father today." He says, "yes, I had to get the scores to the game." She looks disappointed and says, "oh". Then he says, "I got you something." She gets all excited and says, "You did!" He gives her a shoe box and she says, "You got me shoes???" and then again, "you got me shoes??" Looking very disappointed she starts rambling and then the man says, "open the box." Reluctantly she opens the box and Cinderella's slipper is in there, and she starts crying and getting excited and tells everyone in the restaurant, "He got me Shoes!!"

I love that one:)
