Do you have a 'favorite' pen, or other writing instument?

This morning I was listening, as I always do in the AM, to WGN Radio. The talk show host asked about writing insruments, pens, pencils, etc. She said she had a pen that she liked a lot, was starting to run out of ink (apparently not refillable) and she was having a hard time locating another to buy. One of the other people at the station, a news guy, said he had two real favorites that his two teen girls were always walking off with. He has to always get them back and he is afraid they will lose them as he too can not find anywhere to replace them, gifts they were.

I have a very good Mont Blanc rollerball pen that my assistant, Karen, gave to me several years ago for Christmas. I do like it very much. If I forget it some days at home or temporarily misplace it, I feel lost without it. I do know it is replaceable, but would hate to have to, I do like that one, gift it was and all. It is a wonderful writing instument, very comfortable. I like it.

How about you? Any favorites? Pens, rollerballs, mechanical pencils, expensive ones, gifts, throw aways, bags of 100 for $5, just give me anythings?

My DH is obsessed with pens and pencils! He brings home new ones every day. Each day he has a new favorite.

He needs those pens for his Dr.'s writing that no one can read! ;) :p

My favorites are the Disney pens with floaty things in them... I can revisit my "happy place" anytime I'm using them, or amuse myself in especially boring meetings. :earsgirl:

I have them from DCL, Splash Mountain, Tower of Terror, RockNRoller Coaster, Kilimanjaro Safaris and several others.

I like the roller ball pens with the more liquidy ink (like uniballs or pilot pens). I tend to drag my hand across the words when I write, and that ink doesn't smear as badly as others. I also like to use my WDW resort pens to write checks (hey, you have to have some fun part when paying bills, LOL). :)

:o Okay I must admit I have a pen fetish. :o There I said it!

I actually collect pens, the collection started in Disney. I love expensive, good writing pen. Well it better be smooth writing if it cost a lot of money. My favorites are the ones from Disney, such as the Silver or metal ones that are around $15 to $30 dollars. I buy at least three or four of them each time we go. I also like to buy the same types from Target, Staples and Office Depot. But altimately the Disney ones are my favorite. I cant wait to see which ones I get this year.

I don't have a favorite pen. But whatever pen I use, MUST have BLUE ink in it.

I just love my Cross pens. :D I also like any of my Disney pens, just to give me a Disney boost when I need one. :p

I have a Disney pen I was going to give to my manager when I got home from my trip last year. As I was putting it away, I though, hey...this is pretty nice....
Needless to say, she got something else..(I cant remember what though...)

Why Dan, I didn't know you were a "Girlfriend"! ;) :p

DH is a pen fanatic, we have them everywhere and anywhere we go, he buys pens. My first big gift to him was a Waterman pen. Funny, tho, whenever I need to write something down quick, the one I grab is always out of ink!

My 2001 WDW pen with the characters on it :) I use that at home.

At work I always use my resort pens.

My DH bought himself a Waterman (similar to mont Blanc) about 5-6 years ago for about $100. I couldn't believe he would spend that much on a pen. Well fastforward 3 years and I fell in love with it and in fact used it to take the CA Bar Exam. It writes so smoothly that I didn't get hand cramps - and believe me there is enough writing on the Bar Exam to make your hand fall off.

It brought me luck as I passed it on the first try so now I carry it with me and DH never gets to use it:p I use it all the time and do you know that in the nearly 3 years I have had it we have never had to refill the cartridge. In fact I think we have only refilled it one time in 6 years. Truly a great pen.

Black Bic Cristal pens...definitely the way to go (but i change my mind on what pen I like all the time so this is the one for now)

Yes, my set of Disney pens I bought at WDW last year...one has the monorail on it with mickey, one has Kali River Rafts, one has Test Track....I love them and I'm mad cause I lost my favorite one- the orange one with ALICE on it! D'oh!

I love to use my Disney pens!::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo I have some Disney Store ones, Disney Resort, Disney Cruise Line and I have a really cool Mickey Mouse Club pen! Every time I go to Disney World and stay at one of the Resorts I always ask if I can have a pen and so far they have always given one to me.

Working for an airline you find lots of pens and pencils while cleaning. I once found a 'Calibri' pen and gave it to my wife. She loves it and won't use anything else. I have a novelty pen in the shape of a drumstick that I got from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, that I am partial to.

My favorite pen is one I got at the Grand Floridian in 99'. It is heavy in weight and writes very smooth. I think I paid abut $15-$20 for it and it was money well spent.

Wow, lots of Disney pens here!! I ma going to have to look around next time I go. And yes, Rebecca, listen to GN or BBM most of the time. GN always reminds me of the CB, very similar.

I am very, very, VERY particular about my pens and always on the hunt for new ones that are suitable to me..

My favorite for the past 5 years or so has been one of the Parker pens, but I can no longer find the refills locally.. I don't know what I'm going to do when it finally runs out - it's the only one that I really like now.. :(

I like the fat pens with the squishy thing where you hold it. I think they are so much easier to write with.

I have a funky one from Panama City that has a toucan bird on top of it that i use religously at work....When it runs out of ink, i just take apart one of the bic pens and put the refill in it..:teeth:
