Do you have a favorite parking spot at work?

I'm fortunate enough to walk to work (literally across the street, can see my house from my office) but I do have an assigned spot nonetheless, but I've never used it. I work at a university do spots are numbered.

When I used to work at Disney, I'd tend to park the furthest away from the foot, knowing I'd spend most of my day on my bum and cherishing the beautiful weather before being stuck indoors Til it got dark!

I like having the end spot to lessen the chance of something dinging me with their door. I just got my new car this year and want to keep it nice, though to be honest the majority of the other cars in my work's parking lots are $$$$ so they know how to treat cars nicely. The only time I've ever got worked up about parking spots is when I worked at a job until 11pm alone and couldn't get a close spot. That was more of a safety concern as a petite female.

what do you do when others park there?

It's not a big deal. Get over it and park somewhere else. There are much worse things to get your bees in a bonnet about.

I park in a deck that is woefully too small. I only get a space after circling forever and waiting for someone else to leave. There are 60 spaces that I prefer, and of those, there are 15 or so that I really like. And yes, there is that one holy grail of parking spaces that if I were to ever win the Publisher's Clearinghouse 10 million dollar grand prize, I would donate a million dollars if I could have my name on that spot, but I rarely get it. Probably once a month or less. But it really starts my day off right if it happens. Actually, being in my "preferred 15" makes me pretty darn happy - lol.

Parking far away doesn't help with dings, since the whole deck is full and people are usually parked illegally in the half-spots at the end of rows that are only big enough for motorcycles (or Smart cars - lol)

Some days I spend more time circling the deck than I do commuting the 20 miles to work.
(so I will take ANY spot, even if it's not in my "top 60" lol)
